weired brake noise

I am not even sure this noise is from brake. what happening is when brake pushed and steering wheel turned, there is some hitting sound(sounds like some metal wire disconnecting). after driving a while on a highway, it makes same sound if I push the brake hard at signal.
I don't wanna pay some 60bucks for brake checkup without doing any research. any ideas?

Dunno, not sure what "metal wire disconnecting" sounds like.........does your emergency brake function normally?

having terrible sense of describing sounds. it sounds like chaning automatic shift from P to N on a hill. hope this work better than "metal wire" thing

So this sound only occurs when the brakes are used while turning? Off the top of my head, I mean just check tie rod ends, cv joints, check your brakes & make sure the metal cover on the back isn't rubbing. Have you hit anything or been doing any hard driving lately? Are your axles making any ticking noises?

Most places will do a 'free' brake inspection.

Get it looked at.

I drove herthis morning and noticed it makes the sound when brake was used without turning. I dunno if it has anything to do with this but power steering belt has been replaced about a month ago. yeah I should look for free brake checkup.
