hey guys, take a look at some more weight i dropped, a good 80 lbs or so....and i gained a few hp im sure =), also a pic of the new turbo im putting in...........JK thats going on a rx7. I also relocated the coolant to the left side after taking the ac and s*** out....looks better IMO. This is some good weight reduction if you don't use ac or dont mind driving without power steering....im guessing the car is now in the low 2400s or maybe high 2300s...i hope cuz there's not much else to take off lol, eventually ill get a CF hood, maybe a fiberglass front end, etc...i want this thing down to 2200 lbs or i wont be happy.

powersteering is almost completely useless. my old car didn't have it and i did just fine. There is NO change. powersteering is completely undetecable unless you are turning a U turn (HARD TURN) at 2mph.

dude, powersteering is overated, if you are REALLY weak, don't do it, cuz ill admit when at a dead stop its harder to turn, especially with the tires i have, but once you are going over 5mph, its ez as s***. I definately felt a difference when i took the s*** off when i went for a test drive...pulled alot smoother(and harder)

gt42r's are sicker. i held one in my arms last week, that thing was a beast.

notice the screw holes on the compressor, they are for braces to support the weight of the turbo hahaha.

i had no powersteering in my 89 crx si, its only hard to turn when your at a dead stop, once you start moving its no different then power steering, you can only tell when your not moving. also, it is indeed more fun to drive, you get the go-cart effect feel, when turning. it feels way more responsive, and not simulated if you know what i mean.

I won't give up on power steering too. And you're right batmang, it's hard when you're from a dead stop.

yea it definately does feel better once you are moving, just alot tighter steering, hard to explain unless you drive it.

lol.. yeah.. good job though... so is this car a true daily driver?

mine is in a way, but I drive my company vehicle about 50% of the time.. so its different for me...

but if this IS your 100% daily driver then you are a brave man

Cars designed to have no power steering (ie: proper steering ratio) = good

I wouldn't want to remove the power steering from a car with a quick ratio that was made for PS. I think it would make it a b**** to drive. Also, doesn't the fluid have something to do with the lubrication of the system? Couldn't stuff theoretically bind up?
