Waxing Mica Black????

Hey, I had a Silver P5 and it was easy to wax, but now I have a Mica Black 3. I have tried waxing it several times, this moring I spent 3 hours TRYING to wax my 3. I was using Maguiars Wax, I tried BOTH paste and liquid wax. Both left a haze, no matter how much I tried to get it off, so I ended up having to take Maguires Paint Cleaner and removing the wax, I was wondering if anyone with MICA BLACK paint can tell me what wax they use and how well it works!!! PLEASE I WANT MY 3 to SHINE!!!!!

i used Meguiar's Tech Wax. if you can't remove the haze then use a microfiber cloth.

I use Meguire's and wax it a lot (the gold class clear coat liquid). Check your use of cloth. Mine works great.

Their wax goes on easy and comes off easy. Only the first application takes about 4 hrs b/c of the multiple layers you must do. Afterwards, it is the most rewarding thing to look at.

If it haze's then yur using to much, Try using less and letting it set up a little longer, And here's a tip for black. Try putting on a good coat of Sealer Glaze from mothers and Meguair's Show car glaze aand then wax the car, it does a hella good job of getting rid of swirls and small scratches in the paint.

If you still end up with a haze after you wax. Try rinsing off the car and Chamois drying it, most of the time this works for me and it helps to cut down the residue and dust.

I use NXT tech wax on my black mica P5 with microfiber cloth - It shines beautifully!! Even if you use too much and it hazes you can buff it all out (providing you have plenty of clean microfiber towels). The thing with black cars is that they seem to appear dirtier than other cars but when washed and waxed properly there's no other color that looks better imo

You guys rock... I thing I might have used too much like LittleRedWagon5 suggested and like several of you suggested and use yourself.. I think I am going to invest in some microfiber towels. Another question... do you guys use the applicator that comes with the paste wax, or something else, or what do you use for liquid wax application??? Thanks for all your help!!!

why not just go to your local detail shop, spend $50 or so and get it detailed once real good, then go with the driveway version. lol

^^ A little off topic, but Christmas is coming up and detailing makes a perfect gift. So ask your significant other, parents, friends or anyone else for a detail. Have them take your car, or better yet, drive them to the detailing place. Voila one of the best gifts you've ever gotten.
