Wax recommendations

tw ice isnt a wax, its a polish so u still need a coat of wax on top of it to make it shinier and last longer

i would use ZAINO, alot of people use it and say the results are amazing
ive never used it cuz my paint has so many scratches, it'll look like s*** either way haha

i dont even classify it as a polish.

polish is abrasives suspended in a oily liquid that need heat and friction to break down.

I've used meguires for quite some time... It seems to be the easiest on/off wax i've used. Recently tried the New Black Magic stuff and it definently has a better shine and feel afterwards. The only problem is getting it off. I usually let is sit on the car for about an hour then it still comes off kinda ruff but then again i take it off by hand. The longer you let it sit the easier it is to come off.

I want to know whats the best wax to use. In fact imma google right now.

there are so many options out there, and so many perform so closely. the only real differences (waxes only, excluding sealants) are synth vs. natural- each has it's own set of benefits, and different qualities/levels (price) of each. if you pick one from pretty much any of the boutique brands featured on sites like autogeek, etc, you will be just fine. its just like anything in this country- you have to just pick one that people "in the know" like, and run with it, OR, if you like stuff from a certain company that you know makes quality other stuff, then try their wax.

yeah they are pulling the same thing zaino does. Call it a polish yet its a wax. In fact the first line of the description says its a "clear wax"
Its a waste to me either way.

I currently have a 08 in Black Mica, my previous vehicle was a 2001 Miata in "Brilliant Black". I've tried most of the waxes / polishes out there, and I've had really good luck with Gliptone products. Their "Body Gloss" spray detailer is an excellent product. I've also been very pleased with "S200"... this is marketed as a motorcycle wax and sold in Harley-Davidson shops, but is really Pinnacle Sovereign (high end wax) in a more affordable form. works great on black, giving more depth then "pop" with decent longevity. Easy to work with as well, but beware of that telling white residue. Still on the fence about Turtle Wax "Ice", and probably looking to try out the "Klasse" group of products soon.

I love the klasse group of products. But for wax I like P21S. Great depth on dark paint and pretty good pop. For shows I have a secret pure Brazilian carnuba formula.

I dont get it. I am using the paste ICE and like it a lot so far but I read all those who hate it and question what I am missing.

I want to try the Zaino AIO and their detail spray just to see what I am missing. I figure I can use the ICE liquid clay bar to strip the ICE wax off and then go with the Zaino stuff. I recently did a real clay bar so no need for that and is why I mention the liquid stuff.

Is Zaino good stuff and what do you think I will notice from it vs the ICE?

Clay doesn't strip wax off. I use dish soap for that. Liquid clay is nothing more than an abrasive polish or cleaner wax. Sales ploy. Junk. You will notice a deeper snd richer shine as well as a smoother surface with a higher quality wax. As long as its used properly. When judging your finish don't look at the paint. Focus on the reflection. Its easier to see how the product performs that way. Plus don't forget that swirl marks are your number one enemy.

Let me set you straight. Clay does remove wax from your paint. This is the 3rd time today on this site I have seen this kind of thing. Where are you all coming from?!

Reflection will get you nowhere. The paint is where the imperfections are and thus what affects your reflection.

Swirl marks aren't your number one enemy. What induces swirls, scratches, marring, stains, spots....etc. etc....is your number one enemy.

Don't be OCD...be good. ;)

excuse me while you set me straight! i guess you would know since you spend more time here talking about how to do it than actually doing it. try having a little courtesy and respect while approaching me. it will get you allot further having an educated discussion/ conversation rather than setting people straight with no cause at all for rudeness. and with no facts within. thanks for the attack. i guess i am getting a feel for how the people are, an this board quickly.

the reflection comment was made for newbs to tell easier if there is a problem. the same with the swirl problem. newbies wont even know how to fix the cause if they cant identify the problem. i was just running over a quick way for the novice eye to easier tell if one product is helping more than another. without going into long deep explanations on how to detail. but i guess thats your job and i may have stepped on Mr professionals skirt. sorry.
feel free to set me straight whenever you like, Boss!

I never attacked you. I gave facts and now you are getting defensive and flaming me and calling me names. Please stay on topic from here on.
