So I got new glasses back at the end of May, and of course used the medical plan fund for the next two years to do this. I got transition lenses, so they were expensive, etc. I got these done at Sears.
Anyway, I went to the optometrist today to get part of a medical form for my race license filled out, and mentioned to him that my right eye doesn't seem completely clear even with my glasses. So he does a couple tests, and comes to the conclusion that my prescription needs to be changed.
He looks over my chart, and admits to me that my astigmatism in my right eye doubled from last year, and he felt that giving me the full prescription to correct this with my new glasses would be too much of a change so he didn't.
So today, he gives me the full prescription, and now I have to buy a new lens because he didn't give me the right prescription in the first place.
(pissed) This is gonna cost almost $200 to fix now. And since I got my glasses done at somewhere other than my optometrist's office, it's not so easy to say "your mistake, you pay for the new lens."
DAMMIT!
