Warranty work...

I did a search, but couldn't find the answer I was looking for... Please don't bash!

I know of a local (professional) mechanic that I trust that's done warranty work for prior cars in the past... question is will Mazda allow them to do warranty work for me? I hate driving all the way to a Mazda dealership for small problems... Thanks for any help!

No they will not. They don't even allow regular Mazda dealership techs to do warranty work, only Mazdaspeed dealer techs.

Yep, I have to drive 2 hours to the nearest mazdaspeed-certified dealer. Luckily, they've always been cool, giving me a rental without problems, and are very friendly.
