WARNING: NSFCP (not safe for calm people)

i'm running a gt28r (the rs is dual ball bearing the r is single) it's a good turbo... i didn't want something that would spool up too quick... but this turbo spools up well...

i don't know man... my car must be running right then... this is the first turbo car i've ever owned (definately not the first i've driven :D )... so i'm not too familiar with tuning a turbo car... but from what i understand and from what friends of mine have said... the car is running right... no knock ... nothing... i'm getting a wideband this week so i can dive more into the tuneing... i might retard the timing a bit... got to see what i can do without buying an mpi just yet... ( i need a few other things first. )

Anything more than 7psi without timing retard on these cars will usually knock on pump gas, unless you have some kind of silly water injection or something to really cool down the intake charge. Verify that you're indeed running 10psi.

I've heard of some of the Haltech F10 guys running about 10psi on a P5 with stock timing, and even they reported some knock...and that's with a smaller turbo.

What turbo you running?

Matt - Checked out the pics of your kit. Looks damn clean, very nice piping. I envy your polished turbo (mine looks like a rusty turd). I guess my only beef with your setup is that the end tanks aren't tapered...they're just squared. Hell, mine are squared too, but that's the only problem I could find. I wish MAM was around back when I got my old Spool setup.
yeah, the square endtanks did get a lot of questions from people, and now they are cast tapered pieces.... I have one, and everyone from here on our should get tapered cast endtanks also.

the quality of Beau's stuff is second to none... you just have to see it in person to truely understand

i've got an intercooler with square endtanks... it cools rather well.. i'll bet it would be more efficient with casted endtanks... but it does the job for me...
