WARNING! All Turbo MP3's

i know terry has mentioned in another thread that he thought there were much better systems around than the full link system but you're talking about link piggybacks for $895us which is about $1600nz.

is everyone aware that you can buy the full link plus system for $2000nz in nz?
probably less if you can get some sort of deal. thats $1100us.

the regular link is $1400nz i think but it has less drivers.

just seems like a lot of money to me. why not get a link plus and a set of bigger injectors?

i've only read the last two pages of this thread so maybe i'm missing something?

To what I have picked up, the link can't control the primary injectors it can only control extra injector so you have to make a custom fuel rail for 2 ijectors per cylinder and all that nice crap.

The Link Piggyback can control up to 8 extra injectors, although more than 4 on a Protege motor would be silly. You'll have to install them somewhere, feed them fuel and wire the piggyback into your ignition system. With some improvements that are currently under development (and no, I don't have a timeline for them) you'd have to tap into your stock injector controllers as well.

The Link Plus is similar to a Haltech, TEC, AEM, DTA, Motec etc. It's a box with a bunch of wires. You'll be starting from scratch.

Woa, I'm a little late on this thread but that's nutts about your rods and pistons ben.. I also heard about linux and his motor... I honestly think that what has been saving my ass is the gas (101 octane) and the fact I swapped my ECU with a P5....

Keep your fingers crossed, the P5 ecu didn't save my engine.

hmmmm. Wow. This is worse then I thought... Out of all us BEGI/FM guys how many have blown motors? I thnk I know of only two-Linux, and some guy in Hawaii?

What is the status of MP3CT? PortCityMP3? Craig- how is your car running?

I also think a good deal of it may be that I backed my psi down to about 6.5 and I drive about 10 miles a day tops on the thing (work 1 mile away from home) :D

ONly Linux I think and he may have had an internal issue since it was not a stock engine. It was a used J-Spec block.
The guy in Hi was not a BEGI kit owner to my knowledge.

What happened to you? What kit? how much PSI? Details, pls!

That guy in Hawaii? Is that all I am to you guys!? :( I thought I was more, maybe friends. Oh well I guess I am just that guy in Hawaii. :( J/K! My kit is custom. I only have the manifold from Spool ITS and was at 8lbs with a gigatic T3/T4 and we only have 92 octane here! I don't plan on this happening again!
