Voda's Part Out

Ok Hawaii Peeps,

After much thinking, soul searching and such I have decided it is time for me and my Speed to part ways. There are a lot of different reasons why I am doing this. Some you may agree with, some you may not. that said, please don't turn this into a "Don't do it" thread. I've made the decision and I know I'll have some regrets, but in the end it's the best thing for me to do.

Anyhow, I'm not gonna be able to put together a true "for sale" thread for a while and when I do I'll be posting for all forum members. But, in the mean time I wanted to go ahead and let know all potential local buyers that there are a lot of parts for sale. Basically everything aftermarket on my car is for sale and local buyers have automatic first dibbs. Most of you know what I've got so if there is something you want just let me know.

One thing for sure is once the for sale thread goes up there will be no waiting for anyone. The first person with the money gets the part. I have burned way too many times waiting for someone to get the money together.

Of course there are some stock items I will be needing to put my car back to stock. (Struts for example.) So, I'll of course be willing to trade some parts for stock parts plus cash.

So, don't be afraid to be a vulture. Pick away!

wow, good luck and all, but it always amazes me how fast people go from "WOW, look at my brand new parts, I'm so happy!" to "I've suddenly decided to part the car out"

I would think there would be a lull in parts buring right before parting out. but I dunno, I haven't gotten to that point. and dont think I will with this car. when I want a new project I'll just retire this one, and start another. too much money invested to throw it away for me.

but nevertheless good luck with your plans

Yeah,

That's the reaction I'm getting from a lot of people. But, in all reality most of the new parts on my car really aren't that new. I have suffered through a lot of long back orders on most of the big money parts I have ordered and some just sat around.

Basically I just got a lot of things rolling at once. But, I'm just realizing that it's never gonna end. I was already looking at replacing some of the parts that had just gotten installed. I was just getting plain silly.

I guess it's some sort of life simplification. I was actually looking at moving into a WRX or maybe SRT-4 but came to the realization that I'd just be in the same boat a couple years down the road.

Well look at it this way, you can either A. keep the MSP since you can't really do that much more to it. or B. Start over and take the chance repeating the steps that you made with the MSP..I can't see you driving a mini-van..

and such is a car enthusiasts life. always modding... when i bought my p5, i said it was gonna remain stock except for an intake... but damned if i'm not in debt from buying all this stuff. haha. i shall await your parts list sir.

lol. Half the time I drive, I drive a mini-van. (Well that is if the MPV counts.) Nah, I'm thinking my next "baby" will be a BMW 3 series. Yes, I do realize there is an even healthier aftermarket for them than the Protege. But, I have never looked at BMWs as a car that needs to be modified. A set of wheels and a drop maybe. But, nothing like the parts bin I've put together with the Speed. Besides, I could never afford that many parts for a bimmer.

just as long as you dont become Matthew MkII (not meaning that as derogatory towards Matthew, just that he couldn't stick to his word of no mods)

the man who said he was done with modding, only to start all over.

and good choice with the 3 series... the car doesn't need much IMHO, just wheels and stance, stereo and you're done.

oh man can't believe u're leaving! u just got your car in tht state too :(. I would really like it if u kept it.. there's not many nice jdm proteges out there...

if you do still decide on selling then can i have dibs on the cf trunk? i've been looking around for awhile.. also the hood prop too?

WHAT THE FRICK!!! Damn Lang.... :( I can understand where you are coming from and respect your decision either way. Good luck in whatever you decide on doing and you know I got yo' back dawg! ;)

Dave

There is more market for our cars than the 3 series, thats probably a good thing though. The only difference is BMW stuff is 3x more expensive. I can see you rocking one of those though. Who needs speed when you live on an island.

Let me know a price for that aem wideband and awr front motor mount. <3

- jdm rear cup holders
- jdm mazdaspeed oil cap
- jdm hks circle ground kit

sorry just had to put jdm in front of everything haha
