anyone have or heard of the reliability or sound of this manufacturer.

looking to purchase a sub-box/amp combo. 2 tens in a bandpass at 500 watts rms-800 peak, and the amp 400x1@4ohm/800x1@2ohm

I would avoid them...entirely. For about 300$ you can do better...much much better.


For instance...Elemental Designs' pre-order combo deals on their amps/subs. 220$ for a 12" Kv.2 sub with the Nine.2 amp (400W RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms). Then just have someone build you the spec'd ported box or a sealed box. Or, you could do it yourself and save even more money. But this setup would blow away the Visionik, if not in raw SPL, then definitely in sound quality.

And, it's a bandpass box.. *cringe* They're alright if you think they look cool, and want boomy loud something. Granted they can be done right, but I highly doubt that's the case here. It'll be a serious sacrifice in soundquality, and also take up all of your hatch.

I agree, stay away from pre-fab bandpass boxes. They are just a flashy way of showing off mediocre subwoofers to get people to buy them. For the price you pay, you could build a sealed enclosure with a nicer subwoofer that will sound 100 times better than the bandpass box and take up half your trunk/hatch space.

I wouldn't buy it if you have not listened to it first. Although most people here may not like a bandpass box or even these subs, that in no way means that you will not. For anything regarding audio, always listen and compare before buying. Not just in one store either. Go to several storeas and listen to everything you see. Determin if you like sealed, ported or bandpass, determin whic subs and amps you like. Its your money and your ears so spend your money on what makes your ears happy.

i have a cusom box already, was lookin to go louder, but i like the way it sounds so i think im just gonna get a new amp and head at the carlisle show this weekend.

i know it is only good for bass but thats all i need for now-again thanx for the input
