very odd?

I have a 95 protege lx. For a long time, my alternator belt squealed really bad. After lots of work and many belts later, we finally figured out that a bracket was put on wrong when i had a new engine put in. So the squealing stopped until last night. I left my headlights on for about 4 hours, and when I started my car, it squealed. I figured it would just do it that one, but every time I start it after sitting for more than an hour or so, it squeals. So i took it to auto zone to get the battery checked, and the machine said the battery was good (i just had it replaced 2 months ago). The dude there said to just clean the corrosion off the battery terminals, but i don't think that will help.

I would not think me leaving the lights on would cause the alternator belt to squeal, but it just seems very odd that the squealing has not happened for a year until after i left my lights on.

check the tension of the belt
if its loose tighten up the tensioner bolts and all that mess.
