so does the spec. just got it in today so it should be on by sometime next week. i'll let you know about it
did you have a mechanic put ur flywheel in or did you do it yourself? my mechanic wants $200 to put it in. legit or is he screwin me?bradicus18 said:First, what are you doing to your car that you will need a heavier duty clutch? If you are turboing, then you will need one. If not, stick with the Exedy replacement clutch.
Second, do not get the MS lightened flywheel. It is only about 2lbs lighter than stock so you would be wasting your money. If you really want to spend the money on a flywheel, get the Fidanza. I have one, and there is no performance loss, your engine will not fall apart, and whatever anyone has told you about it that doesn't have one is most likely not true.
Third, I believe there was a TSB issued on the P5 clutch for chattering. I don't know what the issue is, but at least take your car to your mechanic and ask him to drive it and get his opinion.
chill out mr. 77 posts. pay ur dues and then start runnin ur mouthViDeo^_^kiD said:$200 is rip-off. It takes no more than an hour, if that to replace the flywheel if you have a lift. Its mainly just know-how...and even know-how doesn't get paid that well.
Half of you people don't even know what your talking about. Lighter clutch??? Sure...how about a lighter engine and frame while we are at it.
What does that have to do with this thread, belongs in the rant section.ViDeo^_^kiD said:Being new to a forum...doesn't make you knew to performance and engine know-how. What I can't quite understand is why people on here upgrade their turbo system before they even touch the engine. Its really beyond me.
No one said lighter clutch. Read. Lighter flywheel, that is proven performance, not measurable on a dyno.ViDeo^_^kiD said:... Lighter clutch??? Sure...how about a lighter engine and frame while we are at it.
