Upgraded clutch and flywheel

$200 is rip-off. It takes no more than an hour, if that to replace the flywheel if you have a lift. Its mainly just know-how...and even know-how doesn't get paid that well.

Half of you people don't even know what your talking about. Lighter clutch??? Sure...how about a lighter engine and frame while we are at it.

In case you are not aware of this,...there are clutches with a lighter casing than stock. Maybe not for a P5 or Protege/323/familia but they do exist.

As well, $200 is not too bad for taking the engine apart, inspecting both pieces , putting new equipment in and the whole thing back together. Last I checked, the price to have it done at the dealership was nearly $1000.00 CDN, including the $700.00 parts. I do think though, that an exedy oem clutch should be cheaper.

And...you can also lighten an engine...and in the P5...the "frame" since it is unibody.

Half of the people here may not know what they are talking about yet they are here to learn, the other half know what they are talking about and they are here to help others learn...and then there's you and others like you who think you know all there is to learn but in reality should keep their mouths shut and actually LEARN.

Confused?

+1, very well put....everytime i read a post from that guy it is either bs or he's trying to flame someone and flex his e-muscles even though 99% there was no provokation...just check out his myspcae page....no on would seriously take advice from this dummy

I would like to see the how-to for swapping clutch and/or flywheel in a fwd in an hour!! I just got done rebuilding my tranny, putting in a new shift-fork, welded LSD and upgraded clutch and it took about 7 hours total and I know what I'm doing.

$200 is an unbelievable deal!!!
