Upgrade to wireless Android Auto?

I was disappointed to find that my vehicle needs to be plugged in, and only one plug works, and the plug is awkwardly located, to use Android Auto. Is it possible to upgrade to wireless with replacing parts?

How reliable are these things. I see discussions about them disconnecting on people.
I have had the Carsifi wireless Android Auto adapter for a few years now. It disconnects only when I am near a very large power line or transformer station.

Funny, I had just added that one to my cart. I hope it lets my phone connect the Pandora app to the cell service while in use.

It is frequent, but it doesn't connect even to my Wi-Fi at home when it is connected to the car.
I am curious as to aftermarket options for the head unit. Anyone have any experience with those?

I've been using the Motorola MA1 for the last year, I've only had it glitch once and it was solved by unplugging it for a few seconds and then reconnecting. Would recommend.

Do you ever drive where there is no cell signal? That is where mine (different model) always disconnects, regardless of whether or not it's streaming at the time.
Well obviously any of them, even if it was factory, is going to disconnect when there's no cell signal.
AA *requires* Internet to be available.
