2017~2024 Upgrade to Auto Climate control

I was just curious if it is possible to upgrade the climate control interface in a 2018 CX-5? Has anyone tried this?

I currently have the base model which contains a manual climate control interface and I can find OEM versions of the Auto Climate Control interface for ~100 from cars that were salvaged.

Can i just, ya know, put that into my car, or am I going to encounter problems?

You are going to need a thermostats wired up for each side and the automated air mixing device for each side for starters...

It's going to take some effort, you're missing 2 temp sensors, radiation and cabin ambient temp, a control module and two air mix actuators driver and passenger side. Also some programming with Forscan to activate AUTO/ECO function, if needed.
In Ytbe there's a video of a Mazda3 retrofit, pretty much the same mod, no comments in video or parts needed and it shows they're adding only a radiation sensor.
