Underground/Local Hip-hop (not radio crap)

i love bumpy knuckes and akrobatic. u got good s*** there grand no worries. this isnt like an underground only thing i just wanted to get some exposure cause no one ever knows what im talkin about.

if they are less than 10mb each, lets just open a shared gmail account
give the pass out to "trusted" individuals who want access, and anyone can contribute by e-mailing the account.

Good stuff peeps,
Celph Titled did the beats on some of Braille's songs
Dan the Automator is cool-out
Gotta love Del, had his first joint back in '91 with Ice Cube on it
If you like Del you probably like Sup Tha Chemist, on a similar tip
Blackalicious is hot, got the creative flows
KMD! Yes, had their first tape (yeah I said tape) back in the day. That's what started MF Doom
Organized Konfusion, X-klan from way back. (I don't know if I'd say they were the first in the consciousness movement but certainly in good company. Consciousness in Hip hop has always been there)

There's so many styles and aspects that you can get into in the ughh scene.
I like instrumental stuff too, like Dan the automator, DJ-Shadow, RJ-D2, a new cat named DJ-DNA did a nice creative instrumental album worth checking out.

Oh yeah, there's a conglomerate group of emcees called Deepspace5 that came out with "Unique Just Like Everyone Else" and I think it's hot.

LA Symphony just dropped "Dissapear Here", I'll be picking that up shortly.

Lots of good stuff out there.

Ill send in some s***, I have mp3's coming out of my goddamn ears....

ok ill do that, but ill have to go through an approval system cause i dont want it cluttered with crap ;)

When you do get it up..I want in.
You know...it's funny, no one mentioned the Wu?
I have the friggin' Cappadonna Killa Bee on my right shoulder blade...lol.
Company Flow....sucks that Rawkus had to fold...that was some hot s***.
I'm telling you though...listen to Saigon...the kid is proper w/a mic & a beat. Remember when Cassidy schooled Freeway? When Cass was hungry to get on? That's Saigon right now....but Joe Budden...he will be the savior of hip hop for 2005.
All year, it's been white tee this and Jeezy that...and tipsy..blah blah...garbage.
Oh yeah, Wu over DJ Muggs beats...fire.
The new Cuban Links 2 album from Raekwon....when that drops, it will be hot. Sources say that Rza is back at the helm and they are going back to the grimey, grungy samples...that scratchy s*** on Enter the 36 Chambers is the reason I LOVE that album so much. It's numero uno in my books. Classic.

I like 36 chambers also, anything after that i never really listend to a whole bunch.
I got into hieroglyphics (souls of mischeif) at that point.
Yea poor rawkus. That label had promise.
I see ill have to dust off the vinyl.
yea the radio is filled with alot of stuff i cant relate to anyhow cause i dont do the club thing or sleep with everyone on the block, its all eh to me. Ill work on the gmail thing. I have a gmail acct so ill see how that works.

Wu stuff im kinda iffy on. Like method man was good (tical), and the ghostface ironman was good but i dont feel alot of the newer ish. and its not that i dont like it, i just dont relate to it. they have alot of slang. like raekwon just makes up all kinds of phrases, lol

hey terbow, do you have a way for me to get the Blue Scholars from ya or where i can find it..theres a club here in seattle that only plays underground hip hop and they played a track from them, cant find it anywhere

Violent by design (jedi mind tricks) is one of the best albums i own. They style has so changed now i cant hardly even listen to their newer stuff. its sad. Stoupe has such ill beats on VBD.

legacy of blood is pretty straight.

vinnie paz is more or less the ******* man.

Heiro's classic!
Souls too.
What ever happened to the good old days when everyone was just innovating?
I guess there are some now.

Cat named LMNO is cool, Sage Francis is dope and an unknown named ADEEM has one album out that had some cool flows on the crative tip.

ok, so 10MB attachments or less
send contributions to hiphop.education@gmail.com
If they fit, feel free to send multiple songs per e-mail but only one artist per e-mail and please put the artist name in the subject and any additional info in the body.

For access to the archive you will have to contact terbow. Would be nice to open it up to everyone but it would suck if one jackass went in and deleted everything...

Thanks for your contributions..should be fun
