Im gonna be getting all seasons soon and have pretty much decided on the Bridgestone re960s but I've read that the Michelin Pilot Sport Plus scored higher...

does anyone actually own these michelins? are they really all theyre made out to be?

I tend to stay away from Bridgestone and Michelins because they are pricey. Sumitomo HTRZIII work pretty well for an UHPS as well as the Falken ZE-912's for an UHPAS at half the price. Any UHPAS tire isnt going to give you the grip this car needs, but there many tires that wont.

well im not looking to autox or anything.. I just want a A-S tire with comparable performance. I know it wont be as good but Im willing to pay for the best, as Im not going to be one of those ppl that have a winter and summer tire.

I did look at the ZE912 before this, and if they really do stack up to the Bridg/michelin crowd then wth, right?

Out of those choices The Falken 912's would be your best bet for an A/S. The others won't compare. All of them wont grip up like the stockers.

what about wet traction and hydroplane resistance? -- in regards to the Falken

Yokohoma Avid W4S, been in 14" snow, 3 " rain an hr, DD have more than 26K on tthem and not half used up.
Minimal hydroplan and good wet tracktion.

Pirelli P-zero's have dissappointed in the past...I had used quite a few on an Audi A8 because the price was good and had 2 with sidewall belt defects. Nothing special in the grip department and will howl to awaken the dead when pushed in curves unless overinflated by 20%.
