Tyres

Hey guys
So I have H&R springs on with 195/50/15 tyres.
I need to change 2, what do you guys think about 195/55/15's
Will they fit? (they have the same circum as 205/40/17)
where should i fit the bigger tyres? F/R
The main reason for this is that the H&R kit with 195/50's is very low at the front!
Speed bumps are hell, any suggestions is welcome>>

In theory, they should only be a tiny amount larger in diameter. (Tirerack should have dimensions).

Your acceleration will be a tiny bit less and your speedometer will read a tiny bit less than actual speed. Speed will probably be about perfect then as mine reads a tad higher than actual (YMMV <LOL>)

The weight of the tires may also be an issue. If the tires are heavier it will negatively affect your acceleration and braking.

How do you like he springs? Would you please tell us how the feel of the car has changed?

Thank you,
John

Hey
So I fitted some Yoko SDRIVE 195/55's and there's a hump in the rear that is too close to the tyre.
I then went with Michelin 195/50's again and it feels better, guess my tyres we're due.

As for the springs.
The handling is exceptional, you can really push it through any bend. Body roll is non-existent, if you swerve the car against 160 it feels very safe-lol.
The ride is hard, but bearable. I stay in RSA and we have pathetic roads, at low speeds(under 60kmh) its really not great but once you're up to speed it's fine. As for ride height, the front is low but you learn how to drive with it after a while. Don't drive over that poles that can bend down to save a parking space- you won't make it. Speed bumps should just be taken slow.
I really love my springs especially on the track and I drive 100km p/day so the ride isn't that bad. The look of a lower 2 is much better too.
