TWM, B&M or Kartboy?

Can you guys give me your input on which short shifter kit you have and why you like/dislike it? Thanks.

Ive had the B&M that I got from a GB here for probably about 4 months. No problems whatsoever, the shifter isn't too short looking, but the shifts are definitely a lot shorter (and I cant beat the $85 i paid for it). If you are looking for more cosmetics I would suggest the Kartboy, it's shorter than B&M. No matter which shifter you end up with, invest in the bushings from Kartboy

Kartboy... I live mine. I've got the shifter, shift knob, and bushings.

Weird, I'm wearing my K4RT3OY shirt today.

Kartboy supports the Protege scene also.

B&M, it replaces the whole shifter assembly, including the crappy nylon bushings. Very nice shifter.

okay, this is normally not what I do, but DUDE this one's been beat to death around here. in the end everyone's gonna say theirs is the best. Taste is part of it. if you want a super-low look, then kartboy's the way to go. B&M keeps close to stock height (stock MSP) lower than stock for a 5 or standard pro. I love my B&M and after seeing the mechanics of it, I wouldn't want anything else. The pivot is just awesome.

i use the TWM but i have heard nothing but good things from tom @ kartboy stuff

I would love to try p5 with TWM or B&M just to see if there really is a difference.
I have Kartboy with Kartboy bushings. It totally transformed stock feel from spongy truck-like to crisp clean sports car-like.
It did seem ridiculously low after stock, but that feeling went away in 1 day.
Another plus side = cup holders become much more useable! :D

Thanks for everyone's input. I did a search and read a bunch of posts before I started this thread. Just wanted to get a specific answer. I'm going with Kartboy. The deciding fact was the cupholder comment...you never know how much you miss a cupholder until you don't have one!!! My 1990 Audi has EVERYTHING except a cupholder! I guess the Germans don't like to drink and drive.

the B&M doesn't get in the way of my cupholder.. and actually i also have the JDM rear seat cupholder in the back as well.. :D

I was thinking of purchasing the TWM, which I've heard wonderful things about. I was wondering though, can you tell a major change in shift with the TWM and Kartboy bushing? I've been looking for a more stable shift since the day I purchased the "Dragon Wagon". I've been looking for a shift stabilizer kit for some time now, with nothing but failure.

just recently had my B&M ss installed, even without the kartboy bushings, it feels firm and in place. Much much shorter than stock shift. Waiting until I have some more money for the bushings.

BTW, where can we get that C-clip on the B&M shifter for holding up the shift boot? I had the shifter installed and the people i had put it on didn't put the clip on so now my boot sort of moves around.

there is a plastic ring on the shift boot itself and a snap ring holding the assembly together. do you mean you're missing the snap ring and the shifter moves? the boot is supposed to move around...

its a small metal C-clip that is supposed to sit at the top of the B&M shifter where the small grove is.

I am using the stock boot with my B&M and just removed that clip all together.. and the boot stays in place just fine..

I'll say kartboy for three reasons:
1) I love my shifter, knob, and bushings
2) Tom is a member of the Protege community, and the customer service is awsome.
3) You get candy. Candy is good. You buy kartboy. Yes.
