Turtle wax ICE..Love it!

i used this stuff last week and my car looked like I washed it every day for a good week. until it rained and then it still looked great. i've tryed other products and the shine just doesnt last as long. I am def satisfied with spending the 14.99.
Ps. The dust is gonna happen no matter what you use. If you live in an area that is dusty then their isnt really anything you can do about it but whipe with your microfiber mit. I live in what is considered a country rural area south of Pittsburgh and I can telll you first hand that no products are going to stop that.

I got the Turtle wax Ice today on your alls recomindations.. OOO it is very nice. I was using Meguires wax and detail spray but this Ice beats them all. So much detail in the paint now its unreal. Probably the best and easist stuff I have ever used. I can see all the little metal flakes.. I love that you can use it on everything. It makes my bug deflector really shine@

Very easy to wax the car with this wax.

I think meguiars gold puts more depth on my black car though. Plus there are more beads from the meguiars when raining.

I like the ICE wax b/c of the quick waxing time.

My boss recommended Techwax, so I thought I try it. Here are the results.

I didn't really apply enough wax but just a thin layer still adds quite a bit of shine. I haven't tried any of the other waxes but this is one of the most expensive on the market I think.

I think we agree that there are some things that can make it shine more, but the ICE goes on so easily. If you odn't have a lot of time, then use it.

This TurtleWax ICE thing sounds pretty good, but I guess since it's considered a WAX I probably shouldn't be using it? I just got my Mazda 3s GT (Black Mica) about two weeks ago and I've read all over the place that you shouldn't wax a new car until at least ~6months. Is there any product you guys could recommend that's not a wax but will do more than just washing the car will? Or even a good car-wash soap to use? Thanks! :)

EDIT: Just tried this TurtleWax ICE stuff and.... (omg)

I second the Tech Wax, atleast the 2.0. Best wax I have used so far, especially for the price. It is up there as far as regularly available waxes - walmart, etc, - but it is still pretty inexpensive. I mean Zymol makes s*** that costs - $7,580.00 a tin (Zymol Royal Glaze).

Do you need to claybar before using ICE?

Also, can I use it after I get my car back from the body-shop? New paint is part of the repairs they are doing.

claying needs to be done no more than 2-3 times a year.

when your car gets back to the body shop, the paint has to cure i believe 4-6 weeks before it can be waxed.

and might i recommend something a bit higher end then TW ice?

its honestly not the most durable wax on the market, and there are much better OTC waxes and sealants available. not to mention the plethora of online products

Recommend what you like, but keep in mind that I spend almost no time detailing my car. Heck, it got so dirty so fast in LA that I only washed it about every three months.

you want to go with a synthetic sealant like meguiars 21.

especially since you only wash every three months (the horror)

a synthetic sealant is much more durable than any wax. and depending on climate will bead water up consistently if applied correctly for up to 6 weeks.

i just read through this entire thread, and unless i missed something, how did noone mention how nice it is not having the white residue left over from the wax?! that, along wit how easy it is to apply, is why i like ice.

also, not too long ago they came out with ice clay bar, i think when i change my oil and wash the car i will give this a shot along with the wax..ill let u guys know how it goes
