I still think I will try that Zaino stuff next just to see what the fuss is all about. They sell some detail spray that I like to use to do daily wipe downs so that is a plus. I will likely order a bottle of the All in One stuff and they detail spray for next time.
A couple of questions for those who use Zaino:
Is it the all in one stuff I should use?
Can you use regular meguiars or ICE car wash or do you have to use their stuff?
Meguiars Clay bar kit just as good as the Zaino version?
Basically all I want to do is buy the all in one and their detailer and use the car wash stuff that I can buy by the jug. Is that ok?
If you are going to try the Zaino treatment (you should) get the following from the Zaino site:
http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=Zaino
Zaino Clay bar (doesn't necessarily have to be zaino, but it's just as easy to order at the same time as other stuff)
z5 (swirl remover, non abrasive)
z2 (polish, non abrasive)
z6 (gloss enhancer)
ZFX additive
You can basically buy this kit:
http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2...e=ZKIT-1&Category_Code=Zaino&Product_Count=20
Read the site for details, but the process is basically:
1. Wash your car with Dawn (strips old wax and products)
2. Clay bar your entire car ( removes particles stuck in your finish)
3. Wash your car again with Dawn
4. Apply Z2
5. Apply Z5
6. Apply Z2
7. Apply Z7
Repeat steps 6 and 7 up to three times in a 24 hour period. The finish will continue to get shinier the more coats of z2 that are put on.
The z7 is gloss enhancer that you can use in between the major z2 treatments (looks great).
Zaino isn't cheap and is fairly labor intensive initially. The results are WELL worth it. My black mica speed 3 looks amazing after it's done. It's a snap to wash the car again as the dirt slips right off. The finish lasts for several months, much longer than carnuba.
The all in one solution you were referring to is new and I haven't tried it. Note that this product has a mild abrasive where Z2 and Z5 don't.
