Need to find a vacuum to hooke up to BOV...

I have a new turbosmart 50/50 BOV and was pulling the vacuum line of of the one with the boost gauge and the boost controller and was still getting the turkey sound..........but I found out that if I pull it off another vacumm it wll get the all wanted swoosh sound and no turkey so, where can I pul off the vaccum and not hurt the car? To basically bypass everything else.

My post below has a ? about bypassing all the junk for the vacumm for the BOV. Whats is safe to splice into?

search for a thread that talks about getting rid of the turkey, it has specific info of what you need.

Thanks bro...

And yes I got rehired...................WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO!! Im so glad, but it kinda sucks I sold my hard pipes. (or are sold and waiting for the guy to reply)

See...

It was making the turkey sound when pulling vacumm off the spliter where the vactory BOV and boost controller go and boost gauge where....but then I decided to see what happened when I pulled vacumm from some where else I did so in the back of the motor and it didnt do the turkey...!!!! YES. But befor I left it there Id figure Id find out if any one knows if this will hurt the car. And what exact vacumm I can pull from besides the factory one.

Oh Sounds good! Keep us updated seems like this would be much easier than using a bpv/bov setup :)

You sure it's a vacuum? You might be not blowing off at all, that's why it's not making a sound. I thought 505zoom tried different vacuum sources and it didn't work.
Let us know if it works.

I know this

will work I have a dual ported BOV 50/50 ratio and it is resirculated to the Injen CAI, it dose the swoosh right now a little bit and some turkey, but when I pulled a direct vacumm to it instead off using the one that has been spliced like six times, for the boost gauge controller, and other s*** it made nothing but swoosh sound. I just want to make shure it wont hurt anything to pull off one of the vacumms on the manifold. And witch one for that matter.

congrats! we are in christmas...

i still work, but I need a girlfriend....its cold out there and I all alone

hehehhehehe

no...the sound isnt from the BPV anyways...you could remove the entire thing and the sound will still be there....

The stock BPV line leads back to a tee, which leads to the wastegate, and back to the intake manifold. Take off all those lines. Run a single line from the intake manifold directly to the BOV/BPV. Tee off of another line to go to the wastegate actuator.

TBMSPED -

T in to the brake booster line. Since it is a larger diameter hose and connects directly to the intake manifold via a larger outlet, it is a very good strong vacuum source.

Here's a picture LinuxRacr posted a while back (from the Flyin' Protege Turbo Kit intallation manual):

Hope this helps.

the brake booster line is a big vacuum source. that looks like a good place to tee it off at. i saw this setup on chojin's msp, no turkey whatsoever.

Any bigger pics? In addition was a bpv still needed or was just the bov sufficient? Thanks :)
