Does anyone know if the powersteering oil cooler U pipe is really necessary for install? I just bought one used and it didn't come with the kit. I assume I can just use some rubber hose to reroute it if the stock piping is in the way

i believe the only reason they have the powersteering line is to move it above the intercooler so it can catch some kind of cool air. if you wanted to you could try just installing it with the stock powersteering line on.

im guessing 31 doesnt include the in tanks? its looks like the core itself damn near fills the grille...i measured the grille trying to figure out the size of the core and the grille opening measured out to 35"

so is the overall core 35 inches long or longer(in tank to in tank?) i want to buy a core from Godspeed thats going to fill up the grille just like the TXS...actaully, i dont want to see the in tanks in the grille so what size should i go with

35+, if you look at my avatar you can see the in tanks. the core itself is 31.5 across.

Spoolin_05, I have the TurboXS fmic kit on my car. If I remember correctly, they provide the power steering line because the stock one doesn't fit, the fmic core fills up the space where you have it originally, and you relocate it above the core. You might be able to relocate your stock lines, but they are big and bulky, so you might run into issues. If you can't get it to work, just make the one that comes with a kit. The reason I say make it, it's because it's the easiest thing to do. The way they have it, they just took an aluminum pipe 1/4" thick and 2 feet long and bend it into "U". That's it really.
Here is a pic of a core off the car, it's huge. The pepsi can is so tiny sitting next to that core.

Thanks for your help! I'm sure between me And my buddy we can figure it out before we get too drunk lol

DO you have a CAI? I just bought a turboxs FMIC and im worrying about it not fitting with my MS CAI. Please say you had no room issues!!!

I had the MScai and yes i had issues with fitment...you are going to need to unbolt the cai piping from the car completely and just play with the fitment in the couplers untill you get it right. its a b**** and you will need someone to help. I found someone to trade me my cai for the cobb sri and inlet pipe...thats what i would get if i were you fits fine.

Im thinking about just turning my MS CAI into an SRI. I rather not but if is gonna be too much of a pain to install I wont care
