TurboHoses Intake Tests

why does the site say $340-390?

Our estimate is based on what we "think" our production, R&D etc... will cost and we only finished a few days ago. There still maybe something more that we can do and there needs to be room for us to raise/lower our prices. However, as it stands today, 220.00 is our target price.

Since, we were able to find a better way and save our customer's money while still making the same gains.

excellent. keep up the great work....I think i know what intake I am getting now....

Fitment Question

Turbo hoses, have you tested to see if yall SRI will work with some of the competitors FMIC designs i.e. (ION or Highboost). Im assuming that the SRI will work fine with ya'll SMIC upgrade.

I for one would like a SRI and a FMIC on my car one day

Oh yea!!! If you would post sound clips of your intake it would help us understand how the stock BPV sounds with the Turbohoses SRI.

once again, nice design but its too expensive for me, im out of these threads. just a heads up, dsmconvert is gonna make some intakes less than $100.

The difference from one intake to another is probably minimal. However, our first tests were done with normal intakes that do not use AirRams and we found spool up to be slightly better but less hp than what we were able to make with the AirRam.
A regular intake may/may not get you gains worth what you are trying to accomplish no matter what the price.

We've thought of that. Including myself and everyone here, I don't think we're smart enough to set it up for the internet and make it work correctly.

Here are some comparison pics. Air Ram vs the Injen filter.

Our hard pipes fit with the Injen, we don't know if it works with AEM.

Spool time improved beginning 3000 rpm to WOT.

No issues with the AEM and the hardpipes ... been running them for months now.

Hey Turbohoses, I saw on your website that you sell just the air ram part. Does that also include an air filter to run with it? I'd be interested in just getting the air ram if a filter is included, since it will be $95 just for that, and I can modify my CAI to a SRI.

*EDIT: I found on the website that the air ram is $95, and the filter is $61.87, a grand total of $156.87 plus shipping. I might as well pay for the entire SRI for that price. I'd like to have all my pipes made by turbohoses because they just look plain sick. I know the guy with the red MR2 sponsored by turbohoses, and its looks very clean (look at the 6" intake!).

Any updates on the intake? I'm getting very interested, and turbohoses is right in my backyard (not literally, but they are close to where I live). Would I be able to see the intake prototype if I were to drop by?

Can't we just replace the injen filter with this new one with the "ram air" on it? It would still improve on spool time just with replacing that right?
