Turbo Pics!

Nice setup, that was the original kit I had bought and ended up with a different manifold though. Just noticed that the GT-28 doesn't have it's coolant lines hooked up. You should REALLYlook into running those lines so that you don't cook the bearing over time, if you need instructions I believe there is a how to or you can PM me later. Is that an FMIC kit from someone or custom? Piping is Aluminum or stainless steel?

PS-tell me that ZEX kit ISN'T for the engine. It's gonna blow REALfast if you are using it.

Well the ZEX kit was hooked up at a time, it's a wet kit. I unhooked all of the lines as you can see on the output going towards the drivers side, all it can do now is just purge.

I didn't hook up the coolant line because i really don't understand how. I know it involved a banjo fitting, but as a matter of where to feed it from im confused. If you have anything i'd love to get it on the coolant line.

Another question i had though, is that the cuppler i have coming off the turbo to the charge pipe is a 2" cuppler and i have 2 1/4 piping. They ended up taking the insulator out on the turbo side of the cuppler (the red piece) and they t-bolted it on there. I notice now when it goes into boost i hear a louder noise, almost like a lot of air escaping out of it. It's hard to explain, but imagine blowing a air gun into a hollow pipe. It also feels it's been having power loss. The cuppler ended up blowing off a week back, and that's when they took the insulator off. Since then the response hasn't felt right at all. I have the transition cuppler on order, but does this sound like a solution to the power loss?

Thanks!

Yeah sounds like a charge leak. Order everything from ATPTURBO.com to find the fittings you need for the turbo. What you'll need are basically the fittings that go onto the two screws you have there already. Then some steel braided line that will hook up into the lines that cool the intake manifold. You remove the ones that go to the intake mani and hook up the new turbo coolant lines there with some clamps. Pretty straight forward but if you need pics do a search.

So what FMIC piping is that? Is it a kit?

it's all in my sig. it's a precision FMIC and aluminum piping. it wasn't a kit though, i had everything custom made. the best part about the intercooler is that it was able to mount up perfectly without any modifications.

Where did you get the pipes made....Details poerfa please. Shop...ebay etc.

I used the coolant lines that feed to the throttle body. There is a how to on here if you search for it. Was an easy fix!

There's a shop out here called Pro Motion. They teamed up with another shop called Hybrid. I live out in Fredericksburg, VA.

They pipes really aren't difficult to make. It's just a bunch of angle pipes, and a handful of straight pipes. I do believe that they got Hybrid to do the welding for them though. I don't know their information, I just delt with James at Pro Motion. Right now though, they're in the process transfering buildings so I'm not sure if you'll get a response.
