***Turbo Performance Works Piggy Back Info***

I would like to take the time to thank everyone who has posted in this thread this info will help alot of people make a educated choice. That's what I love about this Forum. :)

well since i am taking it to the road track this weekend i had to get a voltage clamp...and just that simple solution makes a huge difference...it is almost like i turned up the boost...i'm still only at 2psi and won't add more until i have this piggyback installed

i am starting the tuning without the clamp to see what the reaction time is on this O2 sensor. i dont think that we will need it but i will test out both ways so we can get a clear understanding of when and how it pulls fuel if it does. just a thought though, when i was in kooldino car the other night when we finished his wideband, i saw some interesting info on partial throttle A/F ratios so we shall see.:)

Awwwww yeah!! It's on now!(mj)
damn pat she ran really strong. snapping the throttle it was building up spool and just exploded with whine at 4000rpm.
that compressor is going to keep going and going and going and going...........

I dont know what Im asking now, but Ive seen setups in subarus that have some kind of setting for overboost protection.

It would be very nice if this piggyback could control something like this

....lets say, in a scenario where someone is running stock piston and rods, 12psi, something goes wrong and the car starts to overboost 16+ psi. Would be nice to see the piggyback shutdown the ignition or retard it long enough or just cut the fuel or air in response as it records the overboost?

Is that difficult????
How can we do this???

well i can control the over rev limit and i dont see why some relays inline to the boost control source couldnt be thought out for control if it spikes it.
i will look into it.

Igdrasil,

Our setup does exactly that.

We have an overboost limiter which is set up at 14 psi. When the F10 reads 14psi, it inmediately cuts the fuel to limit the boost. Once it reaches 12psi or lower the limiter is off.

In addition to that, we control the boost by a wastegate map. There are two maps to set. One for street and one for the track. You set either map according to what you want. Let's say you are running 8 psi on the street and want to run 12 at the track. You just change the setting with a laptop and that's it.

You may map it as you want. You can program it to get higher boost as certain rpms.

the problem with that hi bo0st is that you dont offer a parallel standalone/piggyback that can be sold by itself....there are a lot of people here on this site that already have turbo set ups that vary in big ways...some are the same....i know the info you share here is to get the guys who dont already have a turbo set up, but i feel like youre teasing us!!!! hehehehe.....WE NEED A DAMN COMPUTER ALREADY!!!! the first to do so with a set up that can benefit us already turboed guys...will be loaded with orders...

Don't get me wrong. I am willing to map the f10 for any of you who want it. I am not selling any because I think our turbo kit is very different from all others out there. Since we use a different turbo, different intercooler and longer intake the mapping might be different.

I any of you bring me a car I will map it. I will take about 2 hours to do the whole mapping and test it with a Wideband after the Haltech has been installed. Installation will be around 2 more hours.

I just don't want to sell anything until it is proven.

In our setup is already proven. If I had, let's say a Spoolin kit on a car, then I could sell a pre programed F10 for that specific turbo kit and so with FP etc.

Juan

Thats exactly what Im looking for...

See, the car tends to spin the stock wheels a lot on 1st and 2nd, if we could only control boost like....
1st gear on WOT to go minimum preset boost setting , 2nd gear sequentially up the boost per rpm and 3rd and so on your max setting but with overboost protection @ 14 psi...

That would be a killer setup.

Exactly. Hiboost, It would be an awesome selling point to have Haltechs preset to FP turbo's and Spoolin turbo's. That way, if someone doesnt like your turbo, they still may fork over the dough for the F10. Not to jack the thread, but Hiboost turbo's have been the subject of some controversy (read the threads), but no one disagrees that the f10 is a appealing idea.

Didn't mean to make it sound like your turbo's were bunk, sorry. I am actually considering one :) I realized it sounded like that after I re-read it, btw, thanks for emailing me back re: my questions, some companies are not extending me the same courtesy haha!

Jaun im not trying to sound like a dick but your system does not even compare to what im trying to sell. We have two completely different systems. Mine controls ignition and your F10 does not.!
Turbo vehicles need ignition management . Period. And yes by the way we have outputs for that specific fuction also.
Guys im not trying to sound like an ass but take it as you may. This thread was started by me to gauge interest and give info on my product. If Jaun or anyone else would like to sell their product , please make your own thread and leave this one be
thanks for your understanding:D
