***Turbo Performance Works Piggy Back Info***

I doubt it would work on a PocketPC without some kind of software specific to it. Also, there aren't any connections (USB, Parallel, Serial) on PocketPCs. Although some of the newer ones are getting USB. So then you'd need some kind of CompactFlash adapter. All in all, best to use a laptop.

yeah what he said. Nick is right. you can buy a laptop really cheap of ebay. it's not going to be the fastest best laptop out there but then again you are only going to use it to tune your car.

thats all you need:D

do you still need the voltage clamp with the piggyback ecu? i was told that it was still required and the new setup would just eliminate the fmu

jaje thats a very good question. We were looking into this and so far we dont see a need for it. I was also thinking the same thing but because we have the ability to clamp the voltage thru the unit it may not need the additional clamp. Nevermind the fact that we have seen the protege run upwards of 12:1 A/F ratios on partial and WOT. We will obviously check on this when the unit is completely done . The final wiring is being done and confirmation of operation for the unit will come in a day or so. In regards to the FMU people will have the option of removing it or retaining it in the system. I would advise not using the unit because unless it is adjustable to a set point , say around 50-55 psi base pressure and let it rise according to boost rate it will provide too much pressure thru the system and calibrating it with the piggyback will be murder. Your much better running your stock regulator and let it adjust fuel pressure 1:1 with boost. The 4 nozzle injectors that the mazda uses will allow proper atomization even at base pressures from the factory with forced induction. The units will come somewhat calibrated from me after speaking with every customer so that we may tailor the needs of the individual system.

Unless you have some way to clamp signal you will need a voltage clamp with a piggy back, I dont know how perfs comp works but with my link the ecu will pull fuel out at partial throttle

What do you mean? The stage4? or the current unit you are using in your car?
This is confusing

Terry is talking about the Link piggy back system he had in his car before.

Yeah I thought this was a week away, two weeks ago already! :)
were a week late sorry;)
i need to make sure i cover all bases. your ecu's are all different. i have to calculate base values for each of the three classes, MP3, P5 and MSP. I have to adjust the the piggy to the stock values the cu uses and vary from there.

the module is being tuned. i am awaiting a cerified software package from the manufacture so it cant be copied. This will be in by early next week. then i will show dyno results along with a thread for ordering the product. If you are interested you are more than welcome to place a deposit. others have allready done so.
but i will call you so i may talk to you about your set up and some other specifics. probably around saturday ill call so i am out of the work area for once.:D
Thanks again guys for all your patience.

What's the deposit amount, and how can we pay it? Because I'm so interested in this unit and can't wait to see the results of all your testing I hope this is as good it is in my dreams.
