our software comes out on the 12 th of july paul. We will make arrangements for you and jaje

Well, did you get the software? is it up and running?

I have a question about the piggybacks operation that I cannot seem to get clear on.

Lets say I have a presetable boost controller, like the Greddy Profect B, and I have 6 psi (stock) and 10 psi set as the presets. Will your system be able to compensate for that much change in boost whenever I hit the button?

Also will the piggyback need to be reprogramed later when I go FMIC and 2.5" turbo back but still using the same 6 and 10 psi?

Nick as of now i am running my MP3 ecu. I want to keep it so i dont get any CEL. If i swap out to a p5 ECU and use the piggy back will i still have a CEL. Also if i run a FMU for a few weeks, is it safe on an mp3 at 4psi??

Perf. are you out there?

dont worry..hes out there..he has been extremely busy in the past few days so he hasnt ben able to come onto the boards too much..Ill try to answer your questions as best I can...

The piggyback itself can hold up to 2 maps in storage. These maps can be interchanged with the flick of a switch..literally..Any standard Toggle swicth can be wired to the unit and be used tochoose between maps. In your case, you would have your 6psi map and your 10psi map...When you change boost on your controller you flick the switch of your piggy. It is THAT easy...As far as retuning after yourmods..I am sure that areturne is NOT neccessary, however you wouldprobably recieve a gainin power if you did retune it..I am sur ethe car would run fine, but not at its peak..That isa topic that JNick will have to address due to my lack of knowledge

The piggybacks are in. He just got a set of them on Tuesday. Call him at the shop for info about purchasing.

Hmmm... I was under the impression that the piggyback would hold maps for a span of boost levels, say from 1 to 10 psi. It would over-ride the regular ECU at some predetermined boost level (i.e. 2psi) and then control everything until you fall below that preset level. If the tuning is only done for 6psi and 10psi (using that switch), what happens when your boositing 4psi, or anyother value other than 6psi or 10psi. Unless you're saying that the 6 and 10 psi are the maximum values for that map, then it would make sense.

Can you plese clairify, thanks.

you can have as many maps as you like, however, the piggyback will only store 2 maps at a time, which you may select between with a switch. Any laptop running Windows with an available serial port should be able to connect to the piggyback to load maps.

I think my favorite option is the fact that you could create a custom fuel map - just for motor vehicle inspection. No more worry about failing for emissions. Then again, ask Nick for the official info on the unit, I'm just guessing.

any simulation?

Is there any simulator for a piggyback?
This way we all can learn on how to read values so when the unit arrives, it wil be only a matter of tune, to shorten the learning curve.
