turbo manifolds cracked :( anyone ????

yes i know . i went over boost and the cheap manifold cracked on the car .. i heard it only holds up to 10 to 12 psi. im looking for a new one but i really dont want to spend 750 bucks on a manifold .. anyone can help me find one and that fits my stock turbo plz . thanks

You just missed a group buy on the SteedSpeeds, unfortunately. You can weld the Callaway mani if need be but keep your eyes open as they come up for sale on here quite often.

Did the OP over-boost using a boost controller or was he just stock driving around?

You did not do it any harm. They will all crack even if completely stock like mine!!! s***, maybe it was the Dave B Rings or the grounding kit that caused it.

We should start a cracked MSP Exhaust Mani Thread (similar to the LSD thread) to track the milage.

Mine went at 95,000 mi.

they crack for a bajillion reasons, overboosting accounts for like 12% of them. its heat cycles and movement in the motor and exhaust that cause the issue.

now for some reason im having problems with turbo spooling.. with the size should spool at 2 or 3 rpm and it did only last week and now is doing full boost at 4 or even 5.. only thing i changed was boost controller ..
