we're going to be getting the authentic mazda 4WD badges from japan if anyone wants them as well... (see attachment)

So how much they cost?

I wonder if you already have the TURBO decal, where does the 4WD go (scratch)

This is being nit-pickey, but the CX-7 isn't 4WD - it's AWD. Bit of difference there.

As for the placement of the badge, I suppose it could go under either the Mazda badge or the CX-7 badge, right side or left side...

well, that debate would be brought up with mazda, since it is an OEM badge after all. you can see it and all the other JDM stuff at www.mazda.co.jp - which we will have a good sized directory of very soon.

Have you ever gotten an answer to your question about de-badging?
I totally agree with you. Too much chrome.

Just scanned the CX-7 drivers manual...Mazda seems to use both terms interchangably. The manual uses the term "4WD" in a couple titles to sections and when distinguishing the difference between 2WD and 4WD in certain tables. However, when it gets into protracted discussion about the operation of the vehicle, it uses the term AWD exclusively.

Just another 2 cents from moi.

This thread got me interested in trying to locate a turbo badge. Finally found an Acura website in the Northern Virginia area that has 'em available. They don't ship to customers, but you can order online and go pick it up. Cost me about $19 with tax.

That's assuming that I attract their attention in the first place! I'm a law abiding citizen! (evil)

Damn.... maybe you should have just bought a CRV(omg)

I think it's hilarious that some CX-7 owners are ordering the "Turbo" decal from a competitor (rofl2).

Besides, I think the 7 looks much nicer from behind w/o the extra clutter. Just my $.02.

To each is own but I have no immediate desire to get a turbo decal. I know what I have under the hood and who cares anyway. I was almost gonna get a vannity plate CX7TURBO but after fighting the intial impulse I then decided what for? I haven't ruled out a vannity plate but I'm not sure I want anything CX7 theme based because then I might have to change plates if I decide to by something else. It isn't that expensive to get new tags but when I think of the yearly fees plus the cost of the tags it makes little sense. Guess that's why they call them vannity plates.

How to?

I debadge every car I buy.
I would like to remove the chrome from the rear of my CX-7.
How is it done. Are the symbols glued on or will removing them leave a hole?

Just a cleaner appearance thats all...a matter of preference.

As for the actual Mazda emblem (Center of tailgate) there are holes behind it...but the rest of them come off easy with a blow dryer (get them a little warm) and some dental floss. Just slide the floss under the emblems and off they come. A little "Goo-Gone" will handle the rest.
