turbo an auto?

You can, but our cars already have a high drivetrain loss like 18-19 percent add the auto and that probebly jumps to like 25 percent:eek:
Plus we dont know how much a stock auto tranny can hold and you may have to rebuild your auto like put in new torque converter to hold the added power without slipping. Save the headache and money and get a 5 speed.

thanks for the info spool.but i was wondering if i dont need to turbo my auto then what do u recomend that i can do to my p5 to add some decent horses.im halfway satisfide with the power after im about at good rolling speed i just want better take off couse the p5 auto is real sluggish out of the holeshot.i know i would be better off getting a stick but i done some trading on my p5 with a friend and i got the car almost paid off so i would hate to trade it and get back into debt couse you know and i know that the dealer wont give me s#@& for my car lol thanks for any info

This is somewhat disconcerting - RM Racing wants to use my P5 to prototype all sorts of bolt on mods. Potentially a turbo or supercharger as well. My P5 is an automatic. Are you saying they will have to rebuild my torque converter?

I think you should be fine with the turbo. Lots of people have put more power into their autos. Mostly with N20 and I believe I heard about a supercharged one as well. The stock tranny is pretty good and I have a feeling that it can hold up well. It will def. not be as efficient and that would be my main concern. You will def. not produce even close to the same numbers as a 5 spd.
