TSI VRS HIBoost Kit

Ok heres, the thing, I've obviously narrowed my choice of turbo kits down to TSI extreme kit or the HiBoosts because they are really the only pre-made kits out there. I don't want to go the custom route. There is almost a grand difference in the price tag.

I've already been told the TSI kit is a bad kit. But why?
What are the differences between the two, they look the same, I realize the TSI cuts cost buy using less expensive or non namebrand parts, but does that make it a bad kit?
Does anyone have experience with this kit, or know something about it I don't, any explanation is appreciated, I've always been an NA tuner to this point. It will be my first turbo'd car.

Thanks in Advance

Never heard of tsi. Hiboost uses quality parts that show their credibility with almost everyone using there kits. Post more info on this tsi kit, then we can give you a better answer. But I will most likely still say hiboost.

Hmm, the kit just says a Garett turbo. Im guessing a t3. I would go hiboost.

For the extra price of the hiboost, I would have Hiboosts quality parts and you get the Haltech FX10 premapped. No tunning for extra injectors and no FPR.

And you said it too. TSI cuts costs on No name parts. That would make my choice right there. You cant go wrong with the hiboost kit.

That kit has been around a long time at turbo-kits.com. They used to have a base model kit and the "extreme" kit. It uses a T25 turbo. I would only get something that is tryed and true.

Edit: Oh and by the way, if you notice the T25 ball bearing kit is $3200.....Think about it.....Are you really saving that much?

Oh, its that kit. Then even more so to say go hiboost.
There have been fitment issues with this kit and not too many good, if any said about it. I know you want to save money, but sometimes its better to shell out the extra money.

Or, you could piece together your own msp kit.

id go with hiboost, you get the kit from a reputable source and everything is gonna work. dont mess around with no name parts, always a bad idea.

OK thanks, I think HIboost is the way to go now,

one more thing.... the Haltech FX10 stand alone......being my first turbo car am I going to be getting in about my head with a stand alone system...

And does any one know if the Haltech system comes with the injectors and the other fuel system upgrades that the TSI comes with.

Once again, sorry for being stupid in the way of turbos and probably getting things confused. But TSI says it comes with Injection control unit w/turbo timer.. Injector interface block and injectors.

Is that the same thing as the Stand Alone System???

Thanks

The F10x is not stand-alone. It is just a fuel computer that works with your existing ecu. It comes preprogrammed with a map for 8psi.
