Transmission prob. again!

i previously had grinding from second to third so i had my scychros replaced. now a week or two ago the problem returned so i took it to the dealer yesterday and today they called back saying they didnt even look at it. and i have to talk to a mazda rep. Has anyone else had this problem?why call a rep?? i took a mechanic for a test drive and he heard the grind and said it was definitly the scyncros. im just curious why call a rep. why dont they just fix it!!!
 
oh, its because...

dealers are dicks. this tranny problem is blowin up! mazda has to know they ****** something else up! why the hell not just fess up, and satisfy customers...recall all mp3's fix problems..."re-issue" (with the mazdaspeed turbo!, i wish!)
 
I agree. The whole bushing problem was the start. now, 7 months later....still no fix. Not impressed, and I think we should be compensated somehow.....turbo is a stretch though :)

Now the tranny problem is a HECK of a lot more serious. Leave this for 7 months.... and piss a LOT of people off. Now lawsuits can happen. Imagine if your in the middle of avioding an accident, and the tranny decides to get moody.......BAD situation now, and mazda could be responsible for the worse.

Just a thought.
 
guys, i just picked up my car from the dealer, they replaced the bushings, and for the transmission they ADMITTED that is a CHARACTERISTIC ISSUE with the mp3s ( and i believe p5s too), they just mention mp3s since they already have 3 mp3s coming for the same issue. So i asked if mazda plans to do something about it.... they just told me "no that we know"

I say this is all on our hands, miata peeps rant about everything to mazda, i thing this issue is strong enough for us to do the same
 
I agree, we all need to write an E-mail to mazda USA or something and see if they can do something about this tranny issue. I am still waiting on parts for my tranny to be fixed. Apparently the tranny blew up and I lost 3rd and 4th gear all together and it blew my engine when it redlined from me pressing on the gas when the car was supposed to be in gear. :(
So yeah this is a problem that we need to all take up with our local dealers and Mazda USA and Canada. If we all stand up and speak they will have to hear us out.
 
i think this was mentioned before, but isn't our tranny the same as an ES, or P5 or LS.....etc etc....? Different gear ratios though?
 
Hey MP3-Owner, I thought the MP3 had a RPM limitter, how could you blow your engine from over-reving it?? I have a 2000 ES, but wouldn't want to test if it has a limitter or not.
 
That is another thing I will ask the dealer, because that is the same thing I was thinking. I dont know how it allowed it to rev past redline, maybe it was a deffect in the limiter. :confused:
 
I can't believe all the trouble u guys are having with ur mp3's. I have never had a bushing problem no clunks, and no transmission problems, and i power shift all the time, and my car has bounced off the rev-limiter about 100 times. Runs like a champ and still chirps second!!!
 
I'm with you ezrider, absolutely NO problems here. I know MP3owner had a zex kit on his, maybe that did it. I'm not sure, kinda makes me scared to get a turbo.
 
Tranny sucks

Ok well I used to be called Jc's MP-3 but I lost my password and my e-mail address was registered to my old work but anyways.

I lost 1st, 2nd, 5th and reverse. sometimes 4rth. I had a broken shifter fork. they blamed me for it... said too much track driving and power shifting... I am like track once and I shift as hard as my old SE. My tranny used to grind gears from 1st to 2nd dunno why.

My bushings clunk like mad, my deck's display is also fuked... like I dunno what's next....
