Tranny Mounts?

Hey all,

I know there are either currently available or planned engine mounts to solidly mount the engine to the frame.

Are upgraded tranny mounts being developed by anyone? With my particular issues with my MS3, this will probably be the first upgrade I'd make before doing any performance upgrades.

That's the tranny mount? I was confused because I thought it was a motor mount.

I doubt I could do this myself san's garage or tools though.
It's actually pretty easy. A pair of ramps and a metric socket set is all that's needed. And a nice piece of cardboard to lie on. Oh, a flashlight can be helpful. You could even do it in the rain because you won't get wet under the car :).

After warranty, I might actually do this immediately then. You're right, the how-to DOES look easy and in the future, I'll have a LOT more 'emergency fund' money set aside for things like car rental if something goes awry.

Are stronger versions of ALL the mounts available yet?

i found the hardest thing was making the time to do it.
my car does vibrate a little more only at idle, when i tap the gas it goes away- no big deal.

I'll take a little vibe for better shifter feel and a more secure engine.

But I don't think that is the mount he was asking about, he's asking about the one with the bolt under the battery tray that when it backed out let his motor fall I think.
