tranmission question

when i start the MSP i cannot go into right away like i just to be able. Now when i turn it on i cannot put it into gear and the clutch feels so loose. i HAve to pump it and wait until the car is warmed up to put it into gear. Can it be the clutch or the transmission?? thanks for Any inputs or suggestions

Could be but also could be the line itself or the slave cylinder. Does the master cylinder look lower than normal and have you looked at the car from underneath? Most likely its not the transmission, and I hope that is the case for you.

i have not looked under the car for a while but should lookf for and where is the master cylinder located at?

Drivers side firewall and your slave cylinder is on the front of the engine and has a silver sleeve over. Those develop leaks over time and allow air into the system, thus the spungy pedal and difficult gear engagement. You should take it to a shop for further diagnosis and repair.

Thanks i will look for that and since someone is selling the master cylinder i will replace it any other suggestions or input.
