Laser Blue P5
just wondering if anyone was considering trading in their P5 for a mazda3. it has either 150hp or 180hp depending on the model. that's tight. looks nice too. we have a better frontend though.

Definetly not. I like the edgy look of the P5 way better than the bubbly (sp?) 3. Don't get me wrong, the 3 is nice and all, the extra power is cool, but it just doesn't do it for me the way my P5 does.

I still have 45 payments left on my P5....and besides, the P5 looks better than the Mazda 3. I go by looks a lot!

i agree totally. the P5 looks wat better and i love my color. plus not that many people have a P5 around my neck of the woods.

Never!!!!!!!!!

The Mazda3 is way too rounded for my taste. A bit "Vibey", if you will. The edges of the P5 sold me on the car & still do.

Plus you'll have something unique, being that the P5 was only made for two model years.

Think of how valuable the 3rd gen RX-7 is now. I'm not saying there is any other comparison between the two other than their relatively short production runs - but that always adds resale value to a car.

Andy, have you checked the prices on MP3's recently? the short production run has done nothing for resale as of yet...I don't see it changing either. But I'll be the first person to get excited should it ever change :D

Well, those are different because they aren't recognizable except to a select few people. Most people wouldn't know an MP3 if it ran over them. No awareness = no demand.

P5s, however, are very noticable and unique. When people see them five years from now they'll wonder what it is, and where they can get one. Just like they do with the FD RX-7. :)

Nope. Considering I have only had my P5 for a month. Not alot of them around here either. And like was already said it is never gonna be a real common site on the roads only being made for two model years. When the 3 comes out there is going to be lots of them on the road. When I am ready to trade 3-4 years down the line I'll give it a look.

Remember that extra power is offset by more weight... I don't care if it DOES have a 2.3L, the extra size puts me off. How's it going to be able to handle like the current model? It certainly won't be able to change directions as quick...
