from what mike said (funkymonkey) it was $1200 for a mon-thur and $1500 for a fri/sat. I think the extra $300 divided up would be worth it for a saturday personally. We could do this maybe like towards the end of march. or what would you guys want?

Well, I've been there and I can say that it is awesome. Saw my first lamborghini Gallardo there as well as a RUF RGT and rode in a Ferrari 550 and an Acura NSX there. The loop is not how most clubs run the track there, I'll do some mspaint work on it and show you the layout of what the course would be like. BTW, let me know in 2-3 weeks in advance and let me check with my dad and friend to see if they wanna do it as well.

Ok, my mspaint skills suck but refer from my modified pic to the 1 on the first page, and I'm uploading a vid of my friend in his s2000 on that same track.

There's the link of the video, sorry but only lasts till the 15th so dl it while you can. This is my friend who if he went there more often, he'd be able to work towards being an instructor. If we are to go, please memorize the course as it will help a whole lot, it's awesome.

I used to be in that club. When were you a member?

I was in it from 2002? until last year....I graduated December of 2004, but was in Waco until this past December so I hung out on occasion just to kill some time. That club has gotten alot better over the past two years. When were you in it?

Will they have corner workers in the stations? TWS is a higher speed track so my main concern is safety.

In addition to that, there needs to be a track safety discussion and driving technique discussion prior to the event if this happens. Its not safe to just put people on a track and tell them to drive. I personally don't feel safe driving with people I don't know, because I don't know their skill level. That makes them unpredictable.

that is 100% correct. I would hope we would run it like an autocross where one car would go every 10 or 20 seconds as opposed to a track event. Even experienced drivers can push too hard from time to time and the last thing I want is for somebody to loose it on the inside and knock the s*** out of my car. So I would be in if there were some instruction beforehand OR if it was run like an autocross

Exactly. I'd gladly offer some insight to safety, but I'm still a n00b at track days. I just don't want to see anyone get hurt.

I'm sure I can get atleast 2 of my buddies to participate. I say we shoot for a weekend even though TWS may be pretty well booked.

I was a freshmen at baylor from 01-02. I transfered after that year, but it was a good club the year I was in it.

definitely good. This would be my first track day OR autocross... so i think separating out the cars would be a VERY good idea, unless some of you guys that know each other all decide that you want to run together.

When is this? I hope to be feeling better by then. This sounds soo bad ass.

I can get ahold of the Baylor Driving Club that I used to be in, I'm sure some of them would be down for it, and I am always down for a little racing.
hahahahahahah.

.....

hahahahahahaah. k.

We could do it eighter way. We would have it all day. I myself wouldn't mind a real race. I know if I came into a corner and someone had a lead on me I would let them in first just to keep from bumping. But we could do it like an auto cross and time it. Maybe even put in a pot and the winners of each FI and NA group would get the pot. Not much, but maybe gas money for the way home. More for bragging rights! (rockon) And I was thinking the end of march or the first of april. That way it would give us a full month to get everything in line. I for one have the money now and have already put it aside.

Does the track require any specific safety equipment? ie helmets, fire suits, rollbars, specific type of tires, taped headlights etc.?
