I was playing with my obd2 scanner yesterday and noticed my throttle position sensor reads 11% closed and 87% fully open. After adjusting I got it down to 3% closed and 79% fully open. The throttle plate visually opens from 0 -100% by hand and via the gas pedal. There are no codes either.

This leads me to believe the sensor is done, just wanna be sure before I go and buy one.

Does the sensor percentage go up smoothly or does it jump in percentage

Kind of...it's hard to tell with the crappy refresh rate on my scanner. All I could find from a search was it's supposed to read 0% closed and 100% fully open.

I noticed in my Torque app today that it was idling at 10% TPS, and even if I stabbed it, the highest it would reach is 12%. Very peculiar. I'll need to do some more investigation. The car drives well, but occasionally idles low. I figured it was the PCM relearning due to being unpowered for the least week or two, but I think something else is at work.
