Yesterday morning, the TPMS warning dinged. Shutting it off and restarting did not "fix" it. The tires looked fine (as radials will). When I got home, sure enough - the RF was down to 24#. Pumped it up and the alert went off.
All good on the ride to work, but it alerted again when it was time to go home. "OK, something's up". Discount found a roofing nail. All fixed now.
I check my tires whenever we have radical temperature changes, or about monthly, but this one occurred "out of the blue". For those who cast disparaging remarks about the TPMS, I for one am glad it was there.
