Top Speed...

i've had my MSP at over 140 so i dont know exactly what speed but looked like probably around 145...Night driving in FL is great

Oh man, I knew some righteous person was gonna come on here and say you guys are bad boys. Shame on you, thats so evil, no highspeed driving from here on out you got that?

I took my geo to about 117, when it hit limiter at about 5300 in 5th gear, somewhere on i65 in alabama at 3:30am.
Havent pulled a top speed in my msp yet.....

damn, thats some fast s***, i know thats all but impossible to do here, maybe in south jersey like in burlington county or salem county, but no straight or cop free road like that around here!

Re: Re: Is this straight enough?

Is that going to Big Bend??

This was South-East of Amarillo this road runs for miles flat as can be then drops straight down into a cayon at a 10% grade.

So it's North West Texas:D

here in south carolina we have so many roads that seem to go on forever and most of them are pork free.. We might not have a really big city here like some of you do but we have some of the best roads to run on in the US. We also are only about 3 hours from the nopi nationals everyyear. So i guess South Carolina aint so badd afterall....

actually in jersey there is one place i know of that you can go that fast where you're gaurenteed (well 98% gaurenteed) no copage on the turn pike heading south to ac theres a long stretch where theres no shoulder and no median for a cop to hid on thats where i hit 130mph, just thought id let you know

turnpike isnt anywhere near A.C.? though you are right if you're talking about NJ Turnpike like from exit 6 to Delaware Memorial Bridge, still, 130MPH is way risky.

im sorry but i must call bs on that, becuz the fact is our cars can't get higher than 130, before hitting a cut of some sort, i dunno if its a power cut or fuel cut, i believe fuel, but 130 bam u'll it hit just about every time, now i have gone over 130 going down hill an through it into neutral lol.. but thats a different story.

all you that are claiming 140, have broken speedo's u do realize that the higher up in speed u go the less accurate it is as well, have someone radar you at that speed garentee ur not going more than 130.

like 4 nights ago i was racing a srt-4 i was boosting 13 psi, i had him all the way up till 130, hit some sort of cut and it wasn't a cut due to psi cuz i have the defensor it was definatelly a speedometer cut. soon as i hit 130 car cut off till i reached about 100 at that point srt 4 flew by me. and topped out at about 152.

also i was no were near revlimiter ;op

and im expecially calling bs on a mp3 or p5 hitting higher than 130 lol.. there is only one person that i know on this forum that has hit higher and proved that on a mp5 and thats cuz there messing with the fuel curve through ecu and no turbo.

if anyone want i'll take you out for a ride at 140, my car will run 130 during the daytime and at night i can pull it a little bit past the 140 mark before the beloved cut happens from the MAF. I doubt i have a broken speedo and would be happy to take any non believers to that speed. and my car is stock

there is no speedo cut the car cuts when the MAF reads something...i saw a post on it somewhere. next time i go out hopefully tonght i'll take a picture for you (non believers)

and your a moron, and didn't read my first post, i have the defenser it gets rid of that, thats for the psi fuel cut there is a speedo cut... ask ppl that have blown up there p5's w/ turbo after they hit 120 when the cut hits adn there boost continues and bang bye bye motor.

no your the moron for not believing...i can see the little speedometer read 140 and i'm reading 6lbs of boost no more no less i'm sorry you live in TN and cant get your car past 130-132 ask any FL person we all run in the 135-140 range and once i got it to go past 140 before hitting the cut

lol, im hitting 13 psi ur a idiot, i could reach the 130 mark while ur barely hitting 100 LOL, trust me its not the fuel cut ur thinking off there is a speedometer cut, now im now discounting that fact that the altitude and air density has somethign to do with it, but i lived in maryland couldn't get higher than 130 moved to tennessee couldn't get higher than 132 or so, maybe the hotter weather will let you go higher but i seriously doubt it, they governed the msp series, ask your dealer if you dont believe me, and btw speedo's and rpm guages that are stock are inaccurate.. ask anyone on this forum. ther higher in rpm and speed u get the more inaccurate it is..
