First time taking old blue to the track. It should be fun!!! I don't have any prior times to compare to- so we'll just have to go off of the car and driver 1/4 times.

To let you all know what I'll be running with:
BEGI kit at 6 psi
-P5 ECU + Fix (wired correctly)
B&M short shifter
Custom 3 inch piping
-HKS Hi-Power Muffler
-Bypassed 2nd Cat
101 Octane!

*In Phoenix, AZ where it will be in the 60's with no humidity at about 2K altitude.

This will be my first test run. After Thursday I will go after each major Mod to see improvements. I'll be replacing the first cat with full downpipe and will turn up the boost to 8psi.

I'm really not sure what this will get me as far as track times go- and really it's not that big of deal to me, I'm just curious George.
:)

Anyone have any projections as to what my best time for the night will be? How about this--Whoever guesses the right time get's a free injen license plate frame!!! hehe

note: please only one guess per person. (2thumbs)

If you are using 101 octane, why are yo only going with 6psi. You should go at least 8, I'd go with 9 myself.

hehe... I am planning on turning up the boost soon. The real reason why I haven't yet is becuase the wastegate is SO hard to get to. I actually have to take off the downpipe to do so.

I've already got to replace the hardware on the manifold and downpipe AND I have to take the manifold off to drill the EGT tap -So I might as well just do it all at once anyways.

Since it is your first time to the track, I am going to say 15.5 on your first run... My first two or three trips to the track, I was too damn excited to do any good. :) Good luck buddy!

Ok.... Unfortunately I am going to have to cancel on the track this Thursday. :(

Sad as it may sound -not enough $$$ in the bank... Next Thursday I have something going on so we will have to wait until the following ThursdaY!!!

By then I'll be at 8spi - so many of you will have to modify your guesses. :p

8psi? 3" exhaust?
Well, you'll be traction limited. I wann a say 14.6-.7 range. Good luck!

Yes, traction will be a problem. Maybe I'll drive through some honey pre-track time. hehe

Serge, what are you talkin about? ahjaha.. You have to guess my exact time. Then, and only then will you win the licenseplate frame. Sheesh! :)

Now, if you would've guessed that I was going to manage my money poor and not have enough money to go to the track and run at 6psi- then you would win it. :D

Thanks Spoolin!! I'm really eager to see what I run as well. Once I connect I think I'll get accrossed the line pretty fast. It all just depends on a lot of things.

BTW, I emailed you! ;)

I plan on going to the track in Dec when it cools down to like 60's here. Last night it was 55 here in Miami:eek: Freezing!! for our standards. An the car was pulling like a MOFO!:D

1st run - 15.6 < ---- Adreniline jitters
2nd run - 14.9
3rd run - 14.6

Scott, let me know what time your going next week and I will show.. Maybe even video the run.. Muhahahahaaa

That would rule!!! (the vide taping, not the 15.6) hehe

Yeah I'll be going not this nex Thursday, but the following I think it's the 28th.

I'll be at 8psi by then, and of course running 101 octane. So things will be well... Plus by that time we might hit low 50 degree weather. I'll need all the help I can get.

Dont launch to hard....you will get wheel hop like a mofo. Feather the clutch and try to come out of the whole kinda like slipping your clutch. You just need to practice it. Its similar like launching an AWD WRX. This will minimize wheel hop greatly.....but it will burn ur clutch faster:(
