Recently installed the Dogbone poly mount. Quick install! Thanks Ken for the great service.

I torqued the bolts to approx. 70 ft-lbs.

Started the car and holy crap at the vibration! Vibration is heaviest at idle and goes away (mostly) when driving. Car has more a definite roar now. Must go thru and check that things are not rattled loose later!!!

I immediately left for a one week trip. Got back and found out I was leaving again....this time I was gonna drive though.

Interstate mostly from VA to RI. One thing I noticed on the highway was letting off the gas, letting the car coast down to 70 (approx 2750rpm), I got a nice harmonic vibe thru the car. I reproduced this several times thru out the drive. I am just going to have to keep an eye out for loose stuff.

Shifting is way better, plus that nice weather we had monday along the eastern part of the country let the car boost to 19psi and hold 18. In addition to that, I got 30.1 mpg (33.2 by trip computer).

I know ther are plenty of folks out there with the Dogbone...are you seeing the same thing?

I will get mine tomorrow hopefully. I can't wait to test it out. I have the Epoxy MM and the Epoxy keeps getting lose on the edge so I'm replacing the mount.

yeah, all those vibrations from the engine that normally are absorbed by the engine mount now have to go somewhere else. They go into the exhaust and frame mostly. You'll notice the exhaust note is a little different, and of course, the added vibs on the car.

The delrin makes the car sound downright mean. And it brings other random noises out that you didn't notice before.

I just installed mine about five days ago. I noticed everything you did. Done about 500 miles of driving since (had a long trip the day after installing) and it's calmed down a lot. Feels nice though. I like it.

saw the same until about 800 -1200 miles or so - mostly interstate, so I thik mine took a touch longer to break in

I am running the racing mount and when I first got it, i F*king hated it. I am all for a race car feel.. running catless/mufflerless with a straight pipe off the exhaust. But holy fuk, just idleing to keep the car warm while i worked inside the damn think vibrated like mad. Felt like my brain was going to break off in my skull.

One day it broke in and i FREAKEN love this tihng. Zero wheelhop, grips like a mofo. You can feel vibes at low rpm's like the OP stated, but I really like mine.

Super easy install(hump)

glad to see everyone likes the mount. TRZ is working on some other fun stuff for us, including side mounts!

Do the mounts/ inserts stop that crazy loud pop that comes with wheel hop/ cracks in the pavement? I am tired of thinking the engine is going to fall out so this will be my next mod if so!

I know! And they need to step on it! I WANT MY MOUNTS! I also have the TRZ rear mount and have loved it from day 1. Mine has actually given me worse vibrations as it is "breaking in", but hopefully it will fade. They really aren't that bad anyway. I may as well get used to the vibes, considering when we put the other mounts in it will rattle our teeth.......... but no more wheel hop!

big part of the delay was getting donor mounts from mazda. there was some VIN-related red tape in getting the mounts from them, they're very paranoid in selling these parts with what has been happening with the recall, etc.

Side mounts? Meh...who cares :) . Traction bars?

I don't know why so many people claim all their wheelhop is gone with the TRZ (or any other) mount. My car just has some bolt ons and still can pick up some nasty wheel hop. Granted it is nowhere near as bad the stock mount, but it is still there. The best way to prevent it, is to prevent the control arm from evening moving at all with a preload.

Don't get me wrong, I love my TRZ mount, its a GREAT piece and highly recommended, but we need a little more than just that. TRZ makes some awesome suspension pieces for their other niche cars. I can't wait to see what is coming down the pipe.

Did notice reduction in vibes over the last couple of days. Love it even more now.

WinnieP - have you went back and checked your bolt tightness? That is the only reason I could think for vibration increase.
