man, i still dont get it.
how is this a "full" turboback if u still have a stock cat?
if it end at the circle, then u have a second cat attached.
no point in s-pipe if the air still has to go throught a cheesy-ass-1.5-inch cat.

S-pipe

So, is the 3" available or not?
I would have posted sooner but work and the long ass thread to ready took some time.
If yes count me in. (friday)
only 2.5"=I'll just get a 3" elsewhere.

the piece that's getting made here is not a full turboback, it's a downpipe. and when you combine this with the corksport power series exhaust, you eliminate the catalytic converters, and thus becomes a full exhaust

so this sytem is only from turbo to the flex joint?
meaning that the second cat stays on?

weird.....

ok since words are getting mixed up heres the deal on what the DP will replace. The DP will start at the turbo and end at the spring bolts flange circled in red on the nice CS pic attached. It will for a fact replace the s-pipe(another CS pic borrowed). So to sum it up it will start directly off hte turbo(lefthand side of the s-pipe pic) and end at the red circle. This means that it will fit any exhaust system out there and will leave the stock cats if you desire. Whew I think I finally answered all the question with just 2 pics...man i guess I should of though of this earlier. Any other questions?

Both cats stay on...this explanation was the clearest to visualize (tanx DSMConvert!) (headbang)

Dr. Sound I gave a gleeming description of what this was and even put up 2 pics...not hating at ya..just tired of answering the same question time after time....Update Jflo is heading down to GTF Thursday morning for a test fit! Here is a corrected and ordered GB list...If there are any problems or your name isnt on here and you want it to be pm me. This list is based on PMs only, so if you're angry that you posted and should be further up sorry but I stated that PMs were the only legit way to get on the list. Dont mean to be a dick, but this seemed like the fairest way to do it. After the test fit and initial build I'll have a better idea on time frame, price, and final detail design. Thanks a bunch to everyone who showed interested and committed before seeing a final product and a special thanx to Jflo for sacrificing, err i mean lending, his msp to GTF for the day...

ok, i get it.
just like i thought.

may i ask what the point of having it this way and not like let's say protosport, that goes all the way to the resonator?

not bashing, just want to know the reasons for this design.

P.S. thanks mike :)

eek test fit will be friday not thursday....as to the design. This is a DP, as by definition a DP is the first section of exhaust coming off the turbo(including the o2 dump) and connecting to the donut before the cats. Currently 99% of the exhausts on the market(majority being CS) start at this donut and go back. Apex, CS, and Ion all end at the same place. Ours will begin where the Ion begins but a lot cheaper, CS isnt out yet and doesnt look to be out anytime soon, and Apex is a midpipe not a DP, as it only goes to the stock restrictive S-pipe. This is the case for pretty much and turbo car on the market. RRE, agp, etc all of them do it this way, its just a standard thing. Plus it gives everyone on here the ability to keep thier cats if they so desire for emissions purposes, though Culver has already said he will offer a pipe to get rid of the cats for an extra charge.

sorry tom, no one will know until the piece is actually fitted.

and sorry everybody, but here is the latest update. my car won't be going to GT Fabrications on friday, but instead on next tuesday because of the Independence Day weekend. sorry if this puts any unnecessary delay on what you guys were hoping for, but Culver is doing testing today on some other cars scheduled, and Independence Day is this weekend, so he won't be available to test fit the piece. again, sorry for any inconvenience this may put on you, but if we're patient, getting this done will be much more sweeter.

dude, no problem, anyone with a MSP should be used to waiting for things by now, a little longer won't hurt...and try to talk him into 3" while your there, i really am going to need this once i get my motor built, 2.5" just won't cut it...
