Tinting Lights

Okay, I am not too savvy on how tinting works regarding windows... Well, I'm not stupid, and I've watched it done. I understand that you basically spray dishsoap on there and position and cut the tinting film how you want it... Whatever, allow me to get to my point.

I saw some posts regarding the usage of spray tinting for lights, and have seen it done and look pretty well. I am curious, however, could you not use window tinting film for headlights and tail lights? For example, I have the desire to buy some blue tinting for my headlights. Would this work, or would their be a problem with the film adhering to the plastic and/or being on the outside of the vehicle as opposed to the inside of windows?

I'm not sure if its window tinting film or maybe some of that rockblocker like stuff. But the previous owner put red film over the rear pinkish turn/reverse signal. He also put a darker tint film on the front headlight amber turn signal. So far it looks great with no peeling. Not sure how long ago he put it on though

thats what youre lookin for homie. theyve got blue for the headlights. pretty decent stuff, ill be getting some for my p5 eventually, only downside is that its a lil pricey

Yea it may be a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Rockblocker protective film not looks good but it protects your lights from rock chips.

Here is a link for pictures of rock blocker stuff

Attached are some different angles of my rockblocker. I have blue headlight and fog protection. My headlights are blacked out so the blue doesn't show all that much. My tails are smoked with rockblocker.

I tried the yellow tint film on my foglights and tried to put it on my headlights. I does not conform to the curvature of the lights very well and even with heating leaves bubbles and raised sections. Go with either the rockblocker or bluebat overlays. They are vinyl and respond to the heat better to hug the curves of the lights and lay flat. I went with the bluebat overlays and I love em. Good luck!

Jackelope sells em

He's an approved Vendor on here as well

my buddy has his tails tinted. No wrinkles or anything. It really depends on the shape of hte lights if they will take a flim overlay well. Less curves the better. He had his done professionally.
