Three 6s questions

1. Does the ULEV(California) emissions equipment have any effect on the performance, and if so, what is the effect?

2. Is there a noticable difference between the performance of the 16" vs. 17" inch wheels and tires?

3. How does the 6 stock stereo compare to the 3 stereo?

I'm deciding between a loaded 3s 4-door and a 6s with leather, moonroof, and ULEV emissions... I can get either one for about the same price.

As a service advisor for two years on Infiniti's, I can answer question 1 for you: There are two standards for emissions in the states: California and the rest of the country. Basically, every car sold nowdays is a California emission car, otherwise there would be two power outputs per engine with different emission controls- way too difficult and costly to warrant and produce. So manufacturers just make sure their cars meet California standards (more stringent) and they will also meet the rest of the country's standards.

As for the stereo- I'd be surprised if the Bose system in my 6 is the same as the one in a 3. Probably (like Infiniti) they contract at different quality levels for the cars. The G20 has a Bose stereo, but not at the same calibur as the Bose system in the Q45.

**Heads up** Most Bose audio systems in cars are not manufactured by Bose: Infiniti for example: the speakers, amps are Bose, the head unit is Clarion and if it brakes, goes to a Clarion repair center **(wow) **

the 16s are a lot smoother, the 17s handle the road much better
the 6 stock stereo i believe is the same as the 3 stock stereo.
