Those with JDM Mazda Rainguards/visors - chime in...

Installed mine a couple days ago and I have been enjoying the clean look and function of them. However, I've noticed that going over rough patches of road that they rattle. Would be interested to know if you guys who have them experience this? All of the rivet-type fasteners were snapped in properly - I heard each of them snap.

I installed mine last night, took it for a drive and noticed the same thing with them rattling slightly. All I did was roll my eyes and chalk up another rattle.

Hahaha. I figured with the tight snap in rivet-type things that it wouldn't rattle. Clearly I was mistaken. It's a nice piece regardless, but it would've been nicer if it didn't rattle. The thing is I can hear the rattling with the windows closed, too (sans radio). I don't think it could be the contact points where the 2x-sided tape meet, so my assumption is the rivet-type fasteners rattling. I guess we should've injected the rubber female connectors with some silicon. But is there anyway you can even undo the fasteners?

And I told myself coming from the WRX that my next vehicle wouldn't be as rattle-proned...

Well I suppose it could be the sticky tape making the rattle noises.

i dont have any rattling and they gave me one with a missing button

'nother reason for them

Haven't gotten these yet, but have been planning on it. To answer the poster that was confused as to their purpose, here's another reason:

I'm working down in Florida for the summer driving my 3 Hatch daily. There are intermittent showers down here, as well as the interior of my car heating up to a fair degree of hottness in the sun. Not long ago I left my windows cracked, and it helped greatly. A day or two later I continued to leave them open (maybe an inch) and totally forgot while it stormed for an hour. Alas, my seats were pretty wet and I had some cleaning to do around all the doors (water marks and such). These rain guards would have done the trick perfectly: allowed for ventilation while avoiding soakage.

Looking to purchase these JDM ones asap.. sexy and functional, simultaneously!

how far can ya'll crack your windows while driving in the rain (or right after it rains) and water not getting in the car ?

they are ordered anyways...but just wondering

the different between most of the generic ones out there and the JDM ones are that the JDM ones dont sit or bubble out as much. There were some for a while that looked exactly like the JDM ones and worked just as good. harder to find those though.
