Thinking of turbocharging your P5? Here's a guide for getting started...

What is the talk about vacuum hoses...is there going to be another vacuum somewhere I will need to take care of...

Optional alternative #2:
--Diverting the water lines that go to the throttle body to the turbo instead. The water lines that go through the throttle body are only meant for extremely cold conditions where it is possible for the throttle to get seized open or closed, the water running through the throttle body is meant to keep it warm. In theory, you should see horsepower gains from using this method since you are lowering the intake air temperatures. In reality however, the gains are minimal if even noticeable once the car has warmed up. This is an easy option, however if you live in a very cold environment I would steer away from this option.
(Special thanks to fLyPiNoY7 and kz9 for reminding me of this option)

^^^Doing this for the coolant would mean this is all that need to be done coolant wise correct???

oil feed line: (Feed Line for BACK of Block...goes from Prosport Oil Plate to Fitting on Turbo)

oil feed -> adapter plate fitting:(Goes into Prosport Oil Plate)

oil adapter plate:(Already Have)

oil feed -> turbo fitting: (Fitting that attaches to Turbo itself)

oil return line: (Runs from turbo to fitting on the FRONT on oil pan) http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me..._Code=ATP-OIL1

oil return -> oil pan fitting: (Fitting I need to have welded into HIGHEST spot on stock oil pan)

turbo oil return gasket: (Gasket that goes on THIS part)

I will need these 3 gaskets along with the exhaust manifold gasket and the turbo oil return gasket mentioned above...correct...

turbo inlet gasket:
0000-88-C17
turbo outlet gasket:
0000-88-C19
S-pipe -> J-pipe gasket:
KL19-40-450

I wound up needing a throttle body gasket and a water outlet gasket too. Water outlet gets in the way of the EGR pipe, so it's way easier to take it off.

scratch get the head to manifold gasket as well..unless yours is new enough..

...get new everything

Water Outlet gasket???

Head to manifold gasket???

Like a new headgasket...or am I not understanding this correct...

Turbo manifold gasket...if so, yea, I was definitely getting that...I was mainly trying to post things I was not sure about...do I have my descriptions for those fittings and lines correct up there...

Also, is the consensus to NOT go with bronze fittings...

scratch if u can shell out the cash, get the protege garage engine rebuild package, or gasket set W/E its called, i think it has everything u would need

Yea, but I am not replacing the head gasket, IM gasket, VC gasket...those add a lot to the price of that thing...I was thinking it would be cheaper to get the ones that I needed...

I didn't get a chance to read back and see if this question was ever answered. But I had this problem and I know a few others have.

The banjo bolt for the stock coolant location on the back of the block is 12mm, not 14mm. One of the links previously provided in this thread led me to buyin the 14mm. I may have just misread, but I thought I'd clear that up for future builders.
