And then out of nowhere two weeks later...Also...just a reminder to all that posted about modded this or modded that... No mods... No mods... No mods! Stock only.
135 ftw. $500 chip and u done.
The innanets is an endless well of amusement.
And then out of nowhere two weeks later...
Personally, I'm just waiting for kotik to wander over to the Fast and Furious 4 threads and start posting in them. It would make my life complete.
...to the op, sorry about that, kind of read the begining of the threat and didn't bother to read last page. Even without the chip, i think 135 would be a much better over all car. think about it, camaro is going to be first year on the market (let's all remember what happens with most cars that are produced for the first year), especially it being 400hp and american made. You will have quite a bit of issues, and and a lot of dealer visits. 135, in particular v6 TT that it has, has already been out for a while, and most of kinks have been worked out (oil cooler). i'm pretty sure that as soon as you get that camaro, you will notice some problems that are not resolved by the dealer (like with ms3 the 3rd gear ingagement. most of us have put stiffer engine mount). So if you thinking that you'll buy a comaro (the first year it's produced) and won't have to invest anything in it, i'd say it's a slim shot. Have to give it to it, it perfomes in straight line (probably faster than 135). But following my logic (you will invest to inprove), invest in a chip for 135 and you already know you got quality.
on the other hand, don't buy 135, the less of them around, the more exclusive i'll be when i purchase it.
You make some good points about 1st year cars Kotik. I too, have a 2007 MS3, but other than the taking it back for the engine mount issue, I haven't had any problems with her.
Regarding the 135 versus the Camaro, I am just not sold on the styling of the 135. The 335 looks a lot smoother, not that the 135 looks bad. Also, it just isn't putting out enough HP for me. And remember... no chips, if you mod it that puts you in a worse position that a first year car regarding potential problems! You chip that car and BWM won't touch it with a 3.048 meter pole.
It means that the first things you've posted have been sort of... slow... and uh... dumb. And the Fast and Furious threads would be a nice fit. You know. For slow... and uh... dumb. No offense, but you so obviously didn't read this thread when you started posting in it. That's sort of a key skill on a message board, you know?what's that have to do with anything?
sooo, if i like bmw that means that i like fast and a furious?? lol... i think two things mean quite opposite. One of the reasons i'm selling my ms3, is so that i'm not associated with some punk ricers.
thats why you remove mods before showing the car to a dealer? btw my friend with just a standback and a tbe on his 135i ran 12.5 at 115 stock tires
just dont go to dealer or buy viper or ferrari if you want fast stock car
i been reallything about getting rid of my car it has cost me 2 tickets as it is and i reather just knock out some bills i owe 8 grand on my car i think i will sell is buy a 5grand clunker lower my insurance no car payment and pocket the money dont be surpised to see my car up for sale soon
i been reallything about getting rid of my car it has cost me 2 tickets
I really hope you're joking here. Yes, the CAR is definitely to blame for your 2 tickets as opposed to YOU. Heck, why didn't I think of this? It's the 3 strikes and you're out rule but applied to cars! I can roll in a new car by the 3rd ticket - genius!
Sorry to the OP for going off on a completely unrelated tangent.
I did say 135i in an earlier post I believe. As an update, I would like to say that I finally got to see the new Camaro SS at the recent Auto Show and it looks great from a styling standpoint. Definitely the best looker of the 3 current muscle cars on the market. Don't love the interior but that's kinda the norm when buying American (no offense). Another car that caught my eye was the new 370Z - now that's a great looking car with some balls to back it up. I doubt you'd consider it though seeing that you once owned a G35.
Yes... you are right. I do like the 370Z, but after owning the G35 I am ready for something different. I haven't seen the SS up close, but I am looking forward to it. My girlfriend (who lives with me and contributes financially) suggested I get the S5...until I told her the price! The 2 SS is still in the top running....
