Just got with smaller tires (205/40) and more camber and you are good to go. No link kit needed for that size wheel.

Basically it allows adjustment of the rear tires by pulling them in/out and forward/backward. It doesn't directly allow you to go lower. However, for people with wider wheels where tire to fender clearance is an issue it can give you the adjustments needed to go lower
Depends on wheel width and offset.
Way back when, XelderX ran 245/45-16 on some FDs. I believe he had to shave off some of the threads on his AWR coils for clearance and run shorter springs in the rear. Though that was on a P5, which has less room in the rear.
