The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Shoot me a PM also, please, Jon.
You have PM shortly.

Depending on price on your M2 we might be able to purchase it wholesale from you if nothing else.
Is wholesale price going to be any different than a trade-in value? I only ask because I received a couple trade-in estimates when I was looking at Fiesta ST's and honestly they were quite insulting. The only thing I haven't tried yet is a used car place like Carmax (they gave us a good deal on ym wife's old Protege).

Wonder if there are 15" steel wheels that would fit.

Honestly I dont know the market for M2's but the market is in the process of being flooded with late model used vehicles. over 90k from ford alone within the period of Nov. to Feb. Great time to buy, horrible time to sell or trade.

IDK, I want something sort of light and cheap. thats why I like the Konig feathers. $100 per wheel and only weigh in at 15lbs. the Sparcos are only $105 and the sport edition mesh style wheels are under $100. $400 for a set of brand new wheels doesn't seem that bad.

Well, I got the car back this afternoon. It ended up being the relay/harness for the fog lights. When I installed the fogs, I missed one of the retainers that holds the harness upright and it let water/washer fluid pool in the relay and shorted it out. Darn it...

Sparcos and Sport Editions are terrible and heavy. This page is a great start for wheels that work very well on a Miata: http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-Performance-Parts/Miata/Wheels-Tires/Wheels.html

You will see many options between $90 - $125 per wheel.

Better than a grand for the speed3....

Gotta pay to play. Just be thankful you aren't buying Porsche wheels. ;) Heck, I'd love to find a nice set of wheels for the STi for a grand.

It's all relative.

jesus ******* christ... I made it home in one piece!! drove the MSM from Medina to Parma, on bald Nittos NT01 in the snow... only spun out once!

my heart was racing the whole time

I had sport editions for winter wheels on my Neon and they were great! Heavy but I'll tell you what, that helps in the snow. Harder to spin the wheels easily, seriously.

Good point.

I had Sport Editions for winter wheels on the MS3. They were bad, but they got the job done.

And... when I cracked one from hitting a pot hole it was cheap to replace haha.

I had looked there before but I'm looking again right now since I found a general altimax arctic in a 15" size that will keep the speedo and everything really close to stock.

I think I'm going to go with the Konig Feather wheels in silver. I prefer the black but they're out of stock and Melissa doesn't like black wheels. I may still end up refinishing them in a darker shade of silver/grey though.

Yeah that's on him. Maybe he sold the winter setup? I have no idea.

But, it doesn't bother me one bit what he does with my former car haha.

my bucket truck didn't have any issues in this dusting. how's everyone else doing with their commute?

rolling slow as the tires on the neon aren't the best. Who wants to buy a 700+ hp ms3 with 32k miles for 24,000?

I put the bags in the bed so I'm fine. My only issue is the wipers, both have a section that it won't clean. I replaced the wipers last year, and I replaced the arms recently, didn't help.
